Uchiha and Medical Ninja

However, just as I suspected, the Uchiha are indeed well-suited for learning medical ninjutsu. Furthermore, a dōjutsu bloodline like the Sharingan is, to a certain extent, perfect for medical work.

Uchiha Gen's three-point routine also drew the attention of various major clans in Konoha.

This included those in the Hokage Office.

"Lady Mito has recommended these Uchiha individuals to enter the Medical Department for study. Homura, Koharu, what do you two think?"

Inside the Hokage Office, Hiruzen Sarutobi looked at his two old friends and spoke in a low voice.

"Absolutely not! How could Lady Mito recommend Uchiha ninja!! That is the Medical Department! What does an Uchiha ninja have to do with medicine? Hiruzen, the Uchiha already have the entire Military Police Force; do you want to let them taint other departments as well? You cannot forget the teachings of the Second Hokage, Hiruzen!"

No sooner had Hiruzen Sarutobi finished speaking than Utatane Koharu immediately retorted in anger.

The Medical Department was the department she managed. Although Tsunade had taken away most of the authority, that was Tsunade—the granddaughter of two Hokage. But the Uchiha? She would absolutely not allow people from the Uchiha clan to enter the Medical Department.

"This... is it really what Lady Mito said??"

Unlike Utatane Koharu's intense reaction, Mitokado Homura was somewhat surprised and taken aback.

"It was indeed Lady Mito who came to say it herself. She said this was Tsunade's suggestion."
