Silva Shatters the Stars X Jager's Notebook, Volume Two
A mountain breeze seemed to blow from the depths... In the garden, the grass lay prostrate, the flowers bent low, and in the stillness, one could hear the wind and thunder. After Roy's single strike, he stood there quietly, the Sun-Earring Boy neither humble nor arrogant, his face expressionless... Zeno, who had been watching the battle intently, frowned slightly, then suddenly heard the old man softly say, "Look at the sky."
"Whoosh!" The wind whipped up, shattering the clouds...
Zenoel raised his head at the same time, and the latter's empty, lifeless pupils suddenly contracted, and he opened his mouth, which was rare for him!
It's a meteorite!
"Did that kid Roy slice the meteorite off with a single stroke?" Zeno blew on his beard; the Sun-Earring Boy was exaggerating.
To be precise... "It's not 'cut,' it's 'pull'..." Maha's gaze was deep and penetrating, watching as the meteorite in the sky was dragged by the purple [Magnetic Dragon], rubbing against the air and turning into a fireball, heading straight for the garden. He chuckled softly, "Finally, you've gained some strength."
The old man smacked his lips. "What a pity... it's just a bit slow..."
"Boom!" A meteorite fell from the sky, gradually growing from a black dot to the size of a basketball, until it could be seen with the naked eye without needing to use [condensation], all within two seconds...
It crashed down, carrying "heavenly fire" and the power of destruction... At that moment, the butlers and Magic Beast scattered in various corners of Zoldyck felt it, looked up, and each burst into a panicked scream!
At that moment Tsubone was having afternoon tea with Kikyo... Kastro was reviewing the gains and losses of yesterday's battle on the mountain path... Gotoh, holding a samurai sword, stood by the pool, eyes closed, resting... Listening to the wind, looking at the sky, mouth agape, he incredulously lost control of his expression...
"Is this... a natural disaster or... man-made?"
Those not present don't realize the gravity of the situation... The once tranquil, even somewhat lifeless, Kukuroo Mountain suddenly seemed to come alive; wild beasts fled, and birds scattered in fright...
As the meteorite drew closer, it even blocked out the sunlight overhead...
Silva, holding the "Nen Whip," glanced indifferently at Roy. The Sun-Earring Boy had exhausted all his Nen and was barely managing to stay upright by leaning on the "Snow Walk," already at his last gasp.
"If you're so capable, pull it; if you're not, settle it," Silva stepped forward to stand in front of Roy, facing the meteorite, sheathing his Nen Whip and subtly shielding him beneath him... The man coldly said, "Are you planning to destroy this family?"
A wave of weakness washed over him, and Roy truthfully said, "I only thought about creating something of my own; I never thought about hurting anyone."
What's so special about this...? A brilliant idea from a powerful person becomes an insurmountable mountain for an ordinary person?
"You've grown stronger, and you've become increasingly oblivious to your own limitations." The man, with his back to the Sun-Earring Boy, coldly uttered these words, then, with Nen Vortex energy, he rose from the ground and hurtled straight towards the meteorite!
Like a tiny Chimera Ant rushing towards a towering elephant, the visual difference in size makes one hold their breath in suspense!
"Hehehe... Your father is right, you think of things all the time without considering the occasion..." Maha chuckled at the opportune moment.
Zeno leaned against the window with him, gazing into the distance. He couldn't help but glance at the old man, seriously suspecting that the old man was deliberately shifting the blame... It was clearly you who gave the child pointers, and the child actually had an epiphany, but you didn't stop yourself for a moment, and now... how come it's all being blamed on the child?
It just goes to show... when people get old, they really don't care about saving face anymore... Zeno suddenly thought of Netero, and it must be admitted that "Enhancement are similar in some ways...
"Boom boom boom..."
Three hundred meters, two hundred meters, one hundred meters... the meteorite trailed a long, fiery tail. As it drew closer... we realized just how enormous it truly was!
It seemed to be looking down on him, or perhaps mocking Silva for overestimating his abilities and trying to stop a chariot with his bare hands... It accelerated its descent, determined to crush him!
While in mid-air, Silva opened his palms, forming two "Nen Sphere" that didn't seem particularly remarkable. But then... he clasped his palms together, aimed at the meteorite, and fired!
"Boom!" The "Nen Light Wave" transformed into a thick "beam of light," instantly striking the "meteorite." Then... a spectacular "fireworks show" unfolded before Roy, Illumi, Zeno, Maha, and the other Zoldyck masters, butlers, and even the fleeing beasts and monsters!
"Crack... crack..." The meteorite paused, and jagged cracks appeared on its surface. A second later, it exploded with a deafening roar!
The flames and dust transformed into streaks of light and vanished into thin air...
The man landed lightly, his back to Roy, as if he had done something insignificant.
He said, "Welcome home."
He put his hands in his pockets and strolled away...
Roy watched his retreating figure disappear into the garden, the hallway, and all the way to the second-floor bedroom... He sprawled out, spread his arms, and simply lay down on the soft grass, facing the sun, lost in thought.
That's what [numbers] are all about: simple, brutal, and illogical!
My father was like that, as was Razor's ability to scare away the spiders all by himself, and even my grandfather Zeno's Dragon Meteor, Netero's 100-Type Guanyin Bodhisattva... Yesterday, in a daze, I witnessed my great-grandfather's giant, surrounded by jet-black Thunder...
All of this demonstrates just how important [numerical values], or rather [energy], are to Nen user!
"Tap... tap..." As Roy pondered, he heard a series of footsteps... it was Illumi.
The foolish little boy lay down next to the Sun-Earring Boy and said, "Father asked me to tell you that he's not as good as you in this grade."
Roy remained silent.
Illumi rolled over to look at him, pulled open his collar to reveal his chest. "Aren't you good at eavesdropping on other people's thoughts? Listen to mine, and you'll know whether it's true or not."
"Roll!"
"Good."
Illumi rolled over, leaving Roy with his back to him.
It was almost noon, and the sun was shining brightly, so the Zoldyck brothers lay down on opposite sides, basking in the sun.
Not far below, there was Milluki, being dragged like a dead dog by the butler into the garden...
Further away, the butler team began to file in, cleaning up the mess under Tsubone's command... The old butler, swinging her two pink ponytails, occasionally glanced at Roy... The Sun-Earring Boy regained a bit of his Nen Qi, rolled over and got up from the ground, grabbed "Snow Walk" in one hand and the Cane Sword in the other, and slowly walked towards his bedroom under her gaze.
It was noon, and I was hungry; my stomach was rumbling... Gotoh was sent to wait by the pond... and Grandpa Zeno came to deliver the food in a cart...
"Your great-grandfather wants you to cook some new dishes for him to try tomorrow." The old man hasn't had Roy's cooking in a long time, so he specifically asked the Sun-Earring Boy to make them.
With the intention of getting a taste of the freshness himself, Zeno went to Roy's bedroom on his own. Without waiting for him, he pulled up a chair, sat down at the dining table, cut a piece of steak, threw it into his mouth, and tossed a book to Roy.
Roy sat down opposite him, scooped it up with one hand, and started eating a slice of pizza while reading... The book was quite old, with a few large handwritten words on the title page--
<Record of the Western Continent>
Roy's gaze instantly sharpened!
He knew perfectly well that the Lake Center Island in the middle of Lake Mobius did not have an east or west mainland.
Unlike "Yorbian Continent" and "Aizen Continent", the so-called "[East][West]" specifically refers to the Dark Continent!
"These are the notes your grandfather Jager left behind when he explored the Dark Continent. You can think of them as the second volume of the book you have." Zeno said hastily, while Roy's eyes flashed as he thought of his ancestor, Don Freecss, who was a man of one name and one gold!
Legend has it that more than three hundred years ago, he ventured alone to the Dark Continent to explore. After many trials and tribulations, he created "New Continent Travelogue," which was divided into the Eastern and Western sections.
The Eastern Chapter was later discovered by V5 and Kim, but the Western Chapter remained unfinished.
According to Jin's speculation, either he has already disappeared, or... Dong Freecss simply didn't finish exploring, or he did explore but didn't write it down, or even... to this day, it's still unknown whether he's still alive.
After all, the Dark Continent also possesses a magical crop called "Longevity Rice," which, when consumed, can significantly extend lifespan and preserve a degree of "eternal youth"...
Roy stared blankly at the book in his hand, "Record of the Western Continent," not opening it immediately. He felt increasingly convinced that his grandfather Jager, was not dead, and even...
The "Gate of the Dark Continent" that he perceived stood before connected to the true Dark Continent, including...
Jager's Nen Ability [re: Game of the Dead] is also based on the real Dark Continent... The reason he can repeatedly "revive" by relying on "Divine Power" is also related to the "Gate of Cognition" that he activated through his "rebirth" and "time travel"!
The world is both material and idealistic; what you perceive as real may not be.
[Fake], also...
The Sun-Earring Boy took a bite of pizza, narrowed his eyes. "Memories aren't necessarily false; feeling they're false is just a feeling..."
"What are you thinking about?" Zeno took a sip of cream of mushroom soup and glanced over... The Sun-Earring Boy smiled casually and said, "Nothing, just that it feels a little unreal."
Tell me about it.
"It's like how my great-grandfather clearly forbade me from going to the Dark Continent, yet he still gave me books to read—it's contradictory."
"If he doesn't ask you to go, you won't go?" Zeno pulled out a tissue to wipe his mouth, glanced at the Sun-Earring Boy, and said, "Don't overthink it. Giving you the book is just so you'll have some information beforehand when you pay respects to your grandfather, Jager, so that things will go more smoothly when you enter the [The Game]. As for..."
"The true Dark Continent isn't a place you can go to whenever you want."
Indeed, entering and leaving the Dark Continent requires not only a travel permit from the Navigation Bureau, but also a guide. V5
With the backing of a powerful nation and sufficient strength... the ships that will reach the Dark Continent... this can be seen from the Beyond prepared for most of his life, even going so far as to kill his father for it.
But I have a way.
Roy said calmly, "Grandpa is right."
"Hmm." Zeno gave a noncommittal hum and vanished in a flash, leaving only one sentence echoing in Roy's ear. "Now that you're back, go visit your Grandpa Jager more often."
"Yes." Roy finished his lunch and put the book and the medal Netero had given him into the drawer.
He rolled onto the bed, intending to take a short nap to replenish his depleted energy and kill a few more ghosts to accumulate some Life Energy. Soon, he fell into a deep sleep.
Still half asleep...
The Sun-Earring Boy once again passed through the colorful Dream Passage and arrived at the familiar Sea of Cognition. This time, he stood quietly for a moment in front of the "Gate of the Dark Continent," which was locked, before reaching out and pushing open the door of "Demon Slayer."
[Hint: "Life Energy" +2 +3 +5 +4...]
One by one, the Demon fell in the hazy night...
Roy glanced down at the intelligence report under the moonlight and stepped into the territory of Mt. Natagumo!
