Background / History

Liu Xiulan lived in Anping Village with her husband, Bi Dashan, and their children, Bibi Dong and Bibi Xi. During a conflict between the Heaven Dou and Star Luo Empires, Bibi Dong went to the city to awaken her Martial Soul while the village fled the fighting. The family missed each other and searched unsuccessfully for her for years. 97

After a decade apart, Liu Xiulan was reunited with Bibi Dong. Overwhelmed by the return of the daughter she believed she might never see again, she embraced her tearfully and marvelled at how much she had grown. 41 Learning that Bibi Dong had become the Pope's personal disciple and Saintess brought her both pride and guilt over having missed her daughter's upbringing. 42

She welcomed Qian Xunji as Bibi Dong's partner, accepted his gifts and assistance, and later learned that he was the Pope of Martial Soul Hall and Qian Daoliu's son. After consuming the Eight-Petal Immortal Orchid, Liu Xiulan underwent a visible rejuvenation: the wrinkles around her eyes faded, her skin became fairer and more delicate, and her silver-streaked purple hair regained its luster.
