Background

Qian Daoliu is a direct descendant of the Angel Clan and the Grand Elder of Martial Soul Hall. As Great Worship, he commands the Worship Hall and holds authority surpassed only by the Angel lineage's supreme inheritance. The Angel Token is explicitly described as second only to Qian Daoliu's authority within Martial Soul Hall. 12 60

In the account of the parallel world visited by Qian Renxue, Qian Daoliu rose rapidly as a young man: he became a Soul Douluo at twenty and a level 92 Titled Douluo at twenty-three. He traveled widely to challenge powerful Soul Masters, remaining undefeated against opponents of the same rank, including veteran Super Douluos. 246

His search for a genuine rival brought him into a decades-long rivalry with Tang Chen. Qian Daoliu is composed, authoritative, and deeply protective of Qian Renxue. When he discovers that Snake Lance Douluo and Porcupinefish Douluo concealed information about her condition, he crushes them with soul pressure; however, he immediately withdraws it after Qian Renxue accepts responsibility for ordering their silence. 19

He is indulgent toward both Qian Renxue and Qian Renyou, though he attempts to correct their recklessness and impropriety. He supports Qian Renyou's consolidation of power within Martial Soul Hall and repeatedly prioritizes the Angel Clan's future. 65 71

Supporting Qian Renxue in Heaven Dou

After discovering Qian Renxue's hidden cultivation in Heaven Dou City, Qian Daoliu investigates her lack of Soul Power and body-refinement progress. He ultimately trusts her promise to cultivate Soul Power within three months and remains in Heaven Dou to watch over her. 18 19
