Background / History
Daoist Number 323 first appeared in the district chat after Master of Cloud Stack Cave's Silver Gourd kill, asking what a Silver Gourd was. He later joined Heart Without Darkness in demanding that Zhu Jiusi disclose his rule rewards and survival information publicly. When confronted, he privately urged several allies to speak against Zhu together rather than acting alone. 2 8
After Heart Without Darkness was killed, Daoist Number 323 quickly disavowed the conflict. He blamed Heart Without Darkness for inciting him, sent Master of Cloud Stack Cave supplies as compensation, and publicly thanked him for his “forgiveness.” He promised to hand over half of his future Gourd gains, treating tribute as a safer alternative to direct conflict. 14 16
Plot against Master of Cloud Stack Cave
Despite his submission, Daoist Number 323 remained involved with the people targeting Zhu Jiusi. During the Graveyard Riot, he attended their remote discussion, admitted that fear kept him from personally joining an attack, and nevertheless encouraged the group to act against the Wild Boar. 23
He was transported into the Corpses Across the Land Secret Realm as the Young Marquis of the Changxin Marquis Mansion. This identity gave him command of hundreds of private soldiers, a valuable heavy saber, and access to an uncle-in-law at the Xiangnan Prefecture Yin-Yang Studies, who could track Master of Cloud Stack Cave within the prefecture. 24 29
Daoist Number 323 used his authority to hunt zombies for points and sought to secure the first vehicle-modification position. He also transmitted Zhu Jiusi’s location to the allied ambush group, intending for them to kill the Wild Boar before he could intervene personally. 24
When the six conspirators were killed while Zhu survived, Daoist Number 323 panicked. He had his uncle-in-law attempt to locate Zhu again, only to learn that Zhu had either died or left Xiangnan Prefecture; Zhu had in fact exited the Secret Realm. His later warning to Zhu about the zombie ambush could not be delivered because Zhu was out of service range. 29
Deal with the Enforcers and death
An old Enforcer and Black and White Impermanence approached Daoist Number 323 with the true coordinates of the Land God Temple. In exchange, he agreed to strengthen himself and cause trouble for Master of Cloud Stack Cave; killing Zhu would earn him a single-player Secret Realm map. 31
Although he reached the temple rapidly and began his third vehicle modification, he ranked fifth rather than among the first three. He received no special attribute and was expelled from the Secret Realm early, leaving behind the supplies he had amassed through the Marquis Mansion. 31
Immediately after returning, Daoist Number 323 was forced into a Dao Discussion convergence with Zhu Jiusi. He fled into the Land God Temple, believing it might return him to the Secret Realm, but Zhu pursued him. Armed only with a sickle after leaving the Marquis Mansion’s treasured blade behind, he was overwhelmed by Zhu’s tusks. He pleaded for his life and blamed the Enforcers for compelling him to reveal Zhu’s location. 32
Zhu Jiusi handed him a Cursed Map · Calamity before delivering the fatal blow. The map’s effect caused Daoist Number 323’s supplies to drop upon his death. 32
