Danzo spat out a mouthful of blood as he stared at A-Chou, who had stabbed him through the heart without hesitation.
She quickly withdrew her blade. Her body trembled slightly, but only for an instant.
Danzo's blood sprayed out, and Kimura Takuya caught every drop with a jutsu.
"Now, we can't let this go to waste. You've still got plenty more to endure."
Seeing A-Chou staring blankly, Kimura Takuya reached out and drew her aside. Then everyone watched as Danzo collapsed.
Kimura Takuya sent his Soul Energy into Danzo's body, monitoring Danzo's soul.
First the limbs, then the torso, and finally the brain.
Kimura Takuya clearly sensed Danzo's soul leaving his body.
Only after Danzo's brain had died did his soul truly depart from his body.
The moment it left, Kimura Takuya's Soul Energy shot out and seized Danzo's soul, dragging it back.
Then Kimura Takuya reached one hand toward the body of Danzo that had been taken out of the sealing scroll, and the other toward Danzo himself. He began to perform a jutsu.
"Ninja Art: Flesh Substitution Technique!"
Danzo's wound healed instantly, and his dead cells were reactivated. Meanwhile, the body used as substitute flesh had become a little more shriveled.
"Hmm, so one body can be used about ten times?"
Danzo's soul and the revived body began to merge again.
Danzo was resurrected!
"Ah! Wasn't I dead? You didn't kill me just now?"
Had he been unconscious when his soul first left his body?
Watching Danzo's reaction, Kimura Takuya wondered.

The agony of the body dying must have caused the soul to shut out all sensation.

After about the third or fourth time, Danzo finally realized he wasn't under a genjutsu.
By the fifth or sixth time, Danzo's soul had begun to regain some awareness after his body died.
"Demon! You're toying with my soul! You demon!"

As the body taken from the sealing scroll was used up and reduced to skin and bones, Danzo's soul had become fully conscious when it left his body after death.
He even tried to fight back against Kimura Takuya's Soul Energy.
But he was clearly no match for Kimura Takuya, who dragged him back once more.
After being resurrected again, Danzo looked at the body that had been completely used up and laughed maniacally.
"Hahahaha! Now that body's gone, you can't use your resurrection jutsu anymore, can you? So what if you kill me one more time? Hahaha!"
"Who told you I only prepared one body?"
Kimura Takuya looked at Danzo like he was an idiot.
That was it?
That level of intelligence, and he was supposed to be the shadow of Konoha?
The big shots in the Konoha High Command were this stupid?
After looking down on Danzo, Kimura Takuya pulled out a whole pile of scrolls as Danzo watched in horror.
Not many—just a little over a hundred.
He had used up all the nutrient solution in Tobirama's laboratory to grow these Danzo bodies in just over half a month.
If he didn't make Danzo die several hundred or a thousand times this time, then there was no point staying in the Naruto world!
"Poof!"
Kimura Takuya released another Danzo body.
The resurrected Danzo trembled with fear, his mind on the verge of collapse.
Meanwhile, Sai, keeping watch outside, received a message in his mind.
"Big Brother Tuoye, the Anbu are here. They want to see Danzo."
"Got it. Tell them to wait a moment. 'Danzo' will be out soon."
Kimura Takuya replied through their mental link.
Then he took out another body, severed its right arm, and roughly attached it to Danzo.
"Ah! What are you doing? Why did you heal my arm? What do you want?"
Danzo stared at Kimura Takuya in terror.
But Kimura Takuya still hadn't removed his mask, and even his voice was disguised. There was no way to tell what he was after.
"Oh, there's nowhere else to put this arm, so I'll leave it on you for now."
After speaking, Kimura Takuya attached the arm containing the sealed Sharingan to the newly retrieved Danzo body.
He also removed the body's right eye and healed the socket, making it look like an old injury.
Satisfied, he wrapped it in bandages and dressed the body in the clothes he had prepared.
Then he infused Soul Energy into the body.
Using his Soul Energy, he controlled the body and had it refine some chakra.
Then he transferred the chakra he had absorbed from Danzo into the body.
Sensing that the two chakra sources couldn't merge, Kimura Takuya confirmed his suspicion: even with identical bodies, chakra refined by different minds couldn't be combined.
Having conducted a little experiment, Kimura Takuya didn't hesitate. He used his mind to control the Danzo body and make it stand up.
It felt like controlling a robot. The movements were very awkward.
Then he had a Spark Society member who knew Danzo well lie down and planted Soul Energy in him, too.
Next, he connected the member's consciousness to the Soul Energy in Danzo's body, letting the member control it.
The member familiarized himself with the body.
Before long, the awkwardness disappeared, replaced by a familiar feeling, just like being in his own body.
Danzo watched as the body on the ground stood up and moved strangely for a while, then became indistinguishable from him. It even imitated all his usual little habits.
He shouted in terror.
"Demon, demon! What are you trying to do?"
"What am I trying to do? Take your place and die for you. You still haven't figured that out? The Fifth Hokage sent people to arrest you. They're about to put you on trial and execute you."
"No, impossible! I've done so much for the village. I took care of so many things for Sarutobi.
"He'd never agree to execute me just like that. He'd only disband Root. He's always been so softhearted!
"He would never do this!"
"That's true. The Third Hokage wouldn't execute you. But the Fifth Hokage is in charge now."
"Although Tsunade has become Hokage, my affairs aren't hers to decide!
"She can't even claim to be the head of Konoha!"
Danzo shouted furiously. Fortunately, Root was well soundproofed, or the Anbu waiting outside would almost have heard him.
Listening to Danzo's accusations, Kimura Takuya nodded in agreement.
"It's true that Lady Tsunade hasn't really secured her position as Hokage yet, but I'll help her do that. That's not something you need to worry about. Your own problems aren't over yet!"
The Spark Society member controlling the Danzo body went outside to impersonate Danzo.
As Kimura Takuya maintained the Soul Energy connection, he raised a hand and used the Chakra Absorption Technique on Danzo again, draining the chakra Danzo had secretly refined just moments earlier.
Damn, the old man had gotten a new arm and immediately started acting up.
Taking out another body, Kimura Takuya continued.
