"Uh, Tsunade, long time no see."
Jiraiya jumped down from the tree outside and walked into the house.
Seeing Tsunade, still youthful and beautiful after all these years, Jiraiya was at a loss for words.
But Tsunade showed no such restraint. She went right up to him and punched him.
Thud!
"Baka yarō! You bastard, Jiraiya! You said you were going to track Orochimaru, but he made it all the way back to Konoha and caused trouble, and you were nowhere to be found!"
"Cough! Tsunade, are you trying to kill me?"
Jiraiya spat out a mouthful of bloody phlegm. He'd thought Tsunade wanted to welcome him with a hug after their long separation.
Who would've thought that when he opened his arms, he'd get a punch instead?
Jiraiya touched the blood at the corner of his mouth, and anger flared in his heart.
"Tsunade! You're blaming me, but didn't you leave and never come back, too?
"I've been tracking Orochimaru this whole time. I even followed him back to Konoha this time.
"And you? You even made the Old Man go rescue Uchiha Itachi. Is this how you act as Hokage?"
"My student killed Orochimaru!"
"I was asking how you could act like this as Hokage. What? What did Orochimaru kill?"
Jiraiya was getting worked up, angrily calling Tsunade out for irresponsibly running away.
But when he suddenly heard her speak, he thought he'd misheard and assumed she meant Orochimaru had killed someone after returning to the village.
Had one of Tsunade's students been killed? No wonder she was so furious.
Jiraiya thought he understood and was just about to comfort Tsunade when he saw her grin and say again,
"My student just killed Orochimaru."
"Nani? Are you crazy, or am I?"
Jiraiya was utterly shocked. Everyone else present
