Planning Something Big

The two girls blinked, staring at Yang Xing in a daze.

Perhaps only this guy could say so confidently that he wanted to date two girls at once.

And perhaps only this guy could sound so sure when he said he would sort everything out.

"What exactly are you planning to do? It's none of my business." Anko bit her lip. Although she admired Yang Xing's expression, there were some things she wouldn't change. "Let me make this clear: I'm not going to get along with that guy. I won't give up."

"Neither will I." Rin Nohara nodded firmly, unusually serious.

"Yeah, I know. Now isn't the time to dwell on that, either. You two go back first and give me a little time. Just a little." Yang Xing lowered his voice and gazed at them earnestly. "A week at most. Then I'll show you that I meant what I said today."

Perhaps Yang Xing's serious expression moved Anko.

Perhaps his handsome, confident appearance stirred Rin Nohara's heart.

Neither girl refused.

"Well, since you put it that way, I suppose I can give you some time."

"Mm, I'm willing to give you time, Yang Xing."

"Thanks." Yang Xing smiled faintly at them, then turned and left.

Though he was reluctant to part with them, he couldn't give up or compromise just yet.

If he didn't resolve this, how could he find a third or fourth girlfriend later? So he had to do something earth-shattering, something he could show the two girls—and all of Konoha.

He would make the girls accept him and truly become his.

After a long silence,

"Whew!" Yang Xing flopped onto the bed, exhausted in both body and mind. "Girls really are so troublesome. But once you've made a move, you can't back down. Besides, it's the Warring States era. Who dares say anything if I find a few more girlfriends? If anyone does, I'll take him out first. Hahaha!"

After laughing, Yang Xing had to face reality. Laughing wouldn't solve anything.

"Well, first I have to deal with the gossip in Konoha and the Inuzuka Clan's family problems."

In this country, mutual affection wasn't all that mattered. There were also all kinds of relationships between clans and all kinds of power blocs. For Yang Xing right now, finding two girlfriends was already difficult.

What right did an orphan boy have to do something like that?

And for Rin Nohara and Anko to accept and approve of him, he needed enough strength to make both girls admire him.

Curious, and with three Evolution Fruits—enough to spare—Yang Xing immediately evolved Chidori Current again.

Lightning Release: Chidori Current — Final Version. The range of all emitted currents doubles, chakra consumption is halved, voltage increases to ten million volts, and the user gains temporary immunity to most Lightning Release Ninjutsu.

"Well, not bad. At least the range has doubled. It's practically a large-scale weapon." Yang Xing nodded, gazing at the final version of Chidori Current with a satisfied smile.

At that moment, he had no idea how terrifying the final version of Chidori Current was.

After busying himself for a while, Yang Xing went to bed early. He needed to get plenty of rest for his upcoming plans. In a few days, he'd be very busy.

Early the next morning,

at the Uchiha Clan leader's home,

"Oh, so this is where the Uchiha Clan leader lives. It doesn't look much different from an ordinary home." Yang Xing glanced around as he followed a bespectacled man into the courtyard, looking completely at ease.

Seeing the visitor enter the courtyard, a little boy recognized his face.

"Brother Yang Xing?"

"Hey, little Itachi! Long time no see." Yang Xing waved to Itachi, who was practicing in the courtyard, and smiled.

"Mm. Are you not going on missions anymore, Brother Yang Xing?" Little Itachi Uchiha frowned in surprise. "I heard that the ninjas tried to invade Konoha last time. You helped out too, right?"

"Hahaha, that's right."

"That's amazing! Oh, by the way, Brother Yang Xing, you haven't met him yet." Itachi called out and eagerly led Yang Xing toward the nearby building. "Let me introduce you. This is my little brother, my very own little brother."

In a side building, a one-month-old baby lay in a cradle.

Looking at the little fellow in the cradle, Yang Xing couldn't help finding it amusing.

He had already mastered Chidori Current, while the person who would invent the technique was still rolling around in a crib.

"What do you think? Isn't he cute?" Itachi poked the baby's cheek with a finger, grinning.

"Well, he's cute for now." Yang Xing smiled faintly, then cut the conversation short. "All right, I didn't come here to play with you. I'd like to see your father."

"My father?" Itachi looked surprised.

Itachi was still wondering why Yang Xing wanted to see his father

when, just then, Fugaku Uchiha came out of the living room.

"Itachi, what's going on? Who's outside?" He opened the door and saw Yang Xing and a bespectacled man outside. Fugaku Uchiha frowned, then walked over.

"May I ask what the leader of the Aburame Clan wants with me?"

The Aburame Clan had fallen on hard times, but it was still one of Konoha's clans. Fugaku Uchiha had to take him seriously, especially since the Aburame Clan had contributed the most to Konoha's defense this time.

"It's not me. It's this guy." Shibi Aburame shook his head and glanced at Yang Xing.

He didn't understand why Yang Xing had asked him to come to the Uchiha Clan so early that morning. But Yang Xing had helped him defeat their enemy last time and had spoken up for his clan, so Shibi Aburame hadn't asked any questions before following him.

Seeing him point at the boy, Fugaku Uchiha looked surprised. He hadn't thought much of Yang Xing, just a child, but seeing the Aburame Clan's attitude toward him made Fugaku Uchiha look him over more carefully.

The little boy looked utterly unremarkable. His chakra was exceptional for his age, but why did Shibi Aburame treat him with such respect?

After a moment, Fugaku Uchiha finally asked, "May I ask what you want with me?"

"Do you really think we can talk here?" Yang Xing glanced around. His expression was hardly that of an ordinary child.

Fugaku Uchiha understood that they were both honored guests, after all. Not daring to slight them, he invited them inside.
