Danzo Under Siege

The moment Danzo heard those words, he flew into a rage.

"You've been harboring ulterior motives all along, Sunagakure. Once this is over, I'll wipe your village off the map!"

Kazekage Rasa's gaze turned even colder. His opponent had made his intentions plain: this battle would end with either Konoha destroyed or Sunagakure wiped out.

In the stands, Kabuto had joined forces with Sunagakure's shinobi to cast a large-scale genjutsu. Most of the spectators had fallen under its influence.

Gaara was preparing to enter Tailed Beast Transformation. Outside Konoha, a giant summoned beast had also appeared and was attacking alongside the Sunagakure forces.

Seeing the situation, Danzo knew that the only thing he could do was kill Rasa as quickly as possible. He formed Hand Seals.

"Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere!"

Danzo fired the chakra he had built up in his mouth like bullets, shooting them out nonstop like a machine gun.

Rasa didn't dare let his guard down. He knew that the outcome of his fight with Danzo could determine the outcome of the war.

He responded swiftly.

"Magnet Release: Gold Dust Shuriken!"

The sand gathered and formed countless shuriken, clashing with Danzo's attacks. For a while, neither side could gain the upper hand.

But Danzo's two subordinates also joined the fight. They were Aburame Torune and Yamanaka Fu, both from Konoha's two most powerful clans, and both capable of using formidable secret techniques.

"Secret Technique: Poison Dust!"

Torune gathered poisonous insects between his hands, then blew them out in one breath. Anyone who accidentally inhaled the poison dust would die.

Nearby, Fu was waiting for an opportunity to use the Mind Transfer Puppet Curse Seal Technique.

Danzo launched another attack. "Wind Release: Vacuum Sphere!"

Even the Fourth Kazekage struggled to withstand it. He shouted down at the arena, "Orochimaru, are you still not going to help me?"

Orochimaru gave a sinister smile from below, then leaped onto the platform. If the Fourth Kazekage really died, the Konoha Destruction Plan might fall apart.

Besides, he couldn't defeat Feng Yao on his own. He had made plenty of preparations, but it was better to be cautious.

Orochimaru stood beside Rasa on the platform, facing Danzo. At the sight of him, Danzo's expression darkened.

"How could it be you?!"

Danzo realized that he must have miscalculated something. The Third Hokage might indeed have destroyed Root to stop him from starting a war, but he would never let Orochimaru join forces with Sunagakure to destroy Konoha.

But there was no time to dwell on it now.

Orochimaru ordered the Sound Four to set up the Four Violet Flames Formation, trapping Danzo and the others inside. Kimimaro entered the formation as well.

While setting up the formation, Tayuya even took a moment to glance at Feng Yao, who stood below the platform.

"Lord Feng Yao! So handsome!"

Seeing that the situation was turning against him, Danzo turned to his two subordinates.

"You two hold Orochimaru off. I'll deal with the Fourth Kazekage first."

Then he unwound the bandages on his arm, revealing an arm covered in Sharingan.

Orochimaru gave a mocking laugh. "So it's this arm. What a masterpiece."

Danzo snorted. Yamanaka Fu and Aburame Torune charged at Orochimaru and Kimimaro.

"Rinkaichu!"

Torune covered his body with nano-sized poisonous insects. Anyone who touched him would be poisoned; the insects would seep into their cells and destroy them. Fu, meanwhile, prepared to use the Mind Body Switch Technique.

With Orochimaru occupied, Danzo turned his attention to Rasa.

Down below, Feng Yao watched the battle coldly. Danzo was a man he had to kill.

But he had to be careful of Danzo's Kotoamatsukami. If he failed to avenge himself and instead had his will altered and became a puppet, that would be foolish.

He could let Orochimaru and the Fourth Kazekage wear down Danzo's Sharingan first, then seize his chance to strike.

He used Kamui to move closer to the battlefield and waited for an opportunity to act.

Below, many of Konoha's elite jonin had arrived to suppress the chaos. But Gaara had successfully entered Tailed Beast Transformation, and no one could control him. The battle below the platform had also reached a stalemate.

"Sand shinobi and giant snakes have appeared on the eastern side of the village entrance!"

"Send a few elite jonin to deal with that one-tailed monster!"

"Damn it! Orochimaru really did plot with Sunagakure to attack Konoha. That traitor!"

The crowd cursed, but Orochimaru didn't care in the slightest. He focused on the two shinobi in front of him.

"Winding Evil Snake!"

Orochimaru first summoned a winding giant snake, which slammed Torune into the air.

Then he spat out the Kusanagi Sword, stretched his neck, and lunged at Yamanaka Fu. He knew the Yamanaka Clan specialized in mind control, so Fu had to be dealt with first.

Faced with Orochimaru charging straight at him, Fu didn't hesitate. This was a good opportunity.

But Orochimaru saw through it and dodged with the Orochimaru-Style Substitution Technique. Kimimaro seized the moment and moved first.

He charged straight at Fu. "Shikotsumyaku: Dance of the Camellia!"

Fu was decapitated on the spot. Against two Kage Level fighters, he had no chance of resisting.

Torune fell from the air. Seeing his comrade dead, he couldn't help feeling the sorrow of a rabbit mourning a fox.

It was only a matter of time before he was defeated, but he still charged at Orochimaru and Kimimaro.

Meanwhile, Danzo and Rasa continued their fight. Danzo was no weakling: he had eleven Sharingan, and his right arm had been implanted with Hashirama Cells.

His Taijutsu was decent, too, and his Wind Release was powerful enough to slice through Susanoo. He was a well-rounded fighter, with both strength and a cheat-like advantage.

But perhaps he rarely fought in person. His combat skills were truly poor, and for a while Rasa even managed to suppress him.

Rasa spotted an opening and used "Magnet Release: Gold Dust Burial!"

This could be considered a precursor to Sand Waterfall Imperial Funeral. It was denser and heavier, and the enormous quantity of sand buried Danzo outright.

Rasa formed Hand Seals again. The sand began to tremble, and the terrifying pressure crushed Danzo into a pile of flesh.

Rasa thought he had won. It wasn't his fault; he didn't know about the cheat-like ocular technique, Izanagi.

After using Izanagi to rewrite the reality of his death, Danzo appeared in front of Rasa again and formed Hand Seals.

"Wind Release: Vacuum Great Sphere!"

Danzo drew in a huge breath, compressed it, and fired it out. The technique was like an air-powered rocket launcher. It could send an entire body flying, and its power was astonishing.

Rasa didn't know how his opponent had come back to life, but he quickly used Gold Dust to wrap around himself and block the lethal attack.

Danzo pressed his advantage, pulled out a shuriken, and infused it with Wind Release chakra.

"Wind Release: Shuriken!"

The shuriken's sharpness increased, allowing it to slice through rock with ease and break through Rasa's sand.

But just as Danzo had the chance to kill the Fourth Kazekage, a voice rang out.

"Summoning: Giant Snake!"

A huge black serpent appeared between the two of them. The shuriken cut through it, but lost too much force to penetrate Rasa's defenses.

Danzo looked over intently. Torune had already been dealt with; Kimimaro had pierced his body with a bone.

Orochimaru walked over slowly, watching Danzo with amusement. But he was also curious why Feng Yao still hadn't made a move. Danzo was supposed to be his target, wasn't he?

But he soon found out.

Danzo slowly removed his right eye. He had no other choice now. He had to control Orochimaru, eliminate the Kazekage, and put a stop to the Konoha Destruction Plan.

That way, as the hero who had saved Konoha, he could remain Hokage and even earn the villagers' trust.

With that thought, he revealed his right eye—Shisui's eye.

He unleashed his strongest genjutsu on Orochimaru.

"Kotoamatsukami!"

Without anyone noticing, Danzo had already altered Orochimaru's will. Rasa, standing nearby, clearly had no idea what had happened.

Danzo gave a sinister laugh and attacked Rasa again.

"Wind Release: Vacuum Serial Waves!"

Several sickle-weasel-like blasts of air shot from his mouth. This technique could not only cut through an opponent's body, but also sever their chakra. Rasa was about to defend himself—

But Orochimaru suddenly attacked him from behind. Rasa hadn't expected it.

"Evil Snake Wrist Explosion!"

Several giant snakes lunged to devour Rasa, swallowing him along with the sand. After Danzo's Vacuum Serial Waves tore into the snakes' bodies, Orochimaru channeled chakra and detonated them.

Kimimaro and the others stared, stunned. They had no idea why Orochimaru had suddenly attacked Rasa. This wasn't part of their plan!

When the explosion ended, Rasa's figure emerged.

"Cough... cough, Orochimaru... you!"

Rasa had suffered serious injuries. His left arm had been severed at the root, one eye had been blasted blind, and his body was covered in wounds of varying sizes.

The Sunagakure shinobi outside the formation were growing anxious, not knowing what had happened.

"Haha! This eye really hasn't let me down. I'm the only one who can change the shinobi world!"

Just as Danzo thought he had turned the tables and began to celebrate, the space behind him started to twist. A figure appeared behind him and placed a hand on his shoulder.

A cold voice rang out.

"You're wrong, Danzo. You're not the one who can change the shinobi world, because today, you're going to die here!"
