34. A Duel with Danzo

Danzo was startled by the sound and just about to turn his head, but Feng Yao's movements were faster.

"Flying Thunder God Slash!"

Feng Yao's body turned into streaks of afterimages, passing directly through Danzo's body as fresh blood sprayed from Danzo's mouth.

"Lord Feng Yao has made his move! Did he succeed?"

Tayuya was undoubtedly the person on the scene most focused on Feng Yao, aside from Orochimaru.

The five giant, ghostly entities from the underworld descended upon this world once more.

Although Danzo called Feng Yao a brat, he dared not be careless; Feng Yao's track record was there for all to see.

Massive trees erupted from his right arm, blocking the giant axe and surging forward to swallow the Slaughter Ghost.

However, Danzo did not succeed in killing the Slaughter Ghost as he had hoped. Feng Yao commanded the Evil Ghost to unleash a mental attack; the piercing shriek forced Danzo to halt his Wood Release ninjutsu, and the Corpse Ghost seized the opportunity to impale Danzo through the chest with a spear.

Izanagi had to be activated once more.

The minute of invincibility arrived. At this moment, Danzo disregarded all damage, imbuing his Kunai with Wind Style as he charged forward to engage Feng Yao in combat.

Danzo panted slightly. The opponent's summoned beasts were bizarre and unpredictable; with only three deployed so far, he was already finding it difficult to parry.

Instead, he severed the legs of the Slaughter Ghost and Evil Ghost, causing both to be directly sucked into the Dream-Eating Beast Baku. After killing the Evil Ghost, which was capable of mental attacks, Danzo felt much more at ease.

"You are too close to me, Danzo!"

Seizing the moment of Danzo's carelessness, Feng Yao used Geppo to dash before him, grabbing Danzo by the throat while allowing the Spirit Ghost's tentacles to entangle him.

For a moment, Danzo felt his chakra reserves draining rapidly.

He dared not hesitate and immediately formed hand seals.

"Wind Style: Vacuum Wave."

He severed the Spirit Ghost's tentacles, while Feng Yao used Intangibility to dodge his Wind Style.

Meanwhile, Feng Yao replenished the chakra he had spent on his summons through the Spirit Ghost.

Watching the scene, Rasa cheered wildly in his heart, casting his agreement with Orochimaru to the wind.

Seeing that the situation had turned against him, Danzo ordered the Dream-Eating Beast Baku to charge forward and use Wind Style to buy him time.

He himself used Wind Style: Vacuum Serial Waves once more, but this time, the attack was not aimed at Feng Yao, but at the domain and barrier trapping him.

Danzo no longer wished to fight; he knew that if he continued, he would die here.
