Background / History

Lin Mian founded the Judgment Hall after destroying the City of Slaughter, building its headquarters upon the former haven of sin. Its stated purpose is to preserve order, monitor soul masters across the continent, and protect common people. 1 20

The Hall enforces uncompromising rules: those who commit evil, break the law, or slaughter civilians without cause are executed. It does not intervene in private disputes between soul masters unless civilians may be affected. 1 6 8

Alongside Martial Soul Hall, the Clear Sky Sect, and Sea God Island, the Judgment Hall is counted among the continent's four supreme powers as one of the “Two Halls, One Sect, and One Island.” 1

The Research Center was created after Lin Mian discovered ancient Soul Tool manufacturing processes in a ruin believed to predate the Sea God and Angel God eras. This discovery accelerated the Hall's technological development. 21

Shrek Academy's staff recognized that defeating a Hall detachment would still result in being hunted indefinitely, while Tang Hao's planned attack on a branch was understood to risk retaliation from Lin Mian himself. 14 12
