Background / History

Dai Mubai is a prince of the Star Luo Empire who came to Suotuo City and studied at Shrek Academy. Before meeting Zhu Zhuqing in person, he was already formally betrothed to her through their families, though he had never seen her and openly lived dissolutely. 28 37

Zhu Zhuqing came to Suotuo City hoping to find him, only to see him entering the Rose Hotel while accompanied by twin women. The hotel staff also kept a room reserved for him, destroying Zhu Zhuqing's remaining hope that his behavior was an isolated incident. 4 5

Dai later fought Tang San over a Rose Hotel room. Judgment Hall enforcers interrupted the illegal private duel, arrested both combatants, and sentenced them to detention and labor charging Soul Tool cores. 5 6

While imprisoned, he committed himself to rebuilding Shrek Academy after its sale. He offered 30,000 Gold Soul Coins from his remaining funds and became a central supporter of the academy's restart. 19

Dai Mubai is first seen entering the Rose Hotel with twin women, directly exposing his behavior to Zhu Zhuqing. He then confronts Tang San and Xiao Wu over a reserved room, escalating the dispute into a soul master duel. 4 5

The Judgment Hall arrests Dai Mubai and Tang San for fighting privately inside Suotuo City. Dai Mubai complies with the enforcers and attempts to bribe them to avoid harsher punishment. 6

Shrek Academy Rebuilding

Following the sale of Shrek Academy, Dai Mubai offers financial support to restart it. He lends 30,000 Gold Soul Coins and helps establish the new academy across from the original site. 19 36

After release from detention, he prioritizes settling the academy's affairs over dining or entertainment, though he soon returns to showing interest in women after seeing Ning Rongrong and Zhu Zhuqing. 36

Break with Zhu Zhuqing

Confrontation with Lin Mian

Dai Mubai threatens Lin Mian with his status as a Star Luo prince, believing the empire will protect him. Lin Mian dismisses the threat, injures him without moving, and lifts him into the air until he cannot breathe. 41

Dai Weisi and Zhu Zhuyun arrive with Star Luo guards, but Lin Mian effortlessly kills the Soul Emperor sent to rescue Dai Mubai and subdues the group. When Zhu Zhuqing is given authority over their fates, Dai Mubai begs her to spare him. 41 42

Aftermath

Two months later, Dai Mubai and Tang San remain across from Lin Mian's academy. Whenever they encounter Zhu Zhuqing and the others, they deliberately avoid them. 49
