One solar month after leaving Mars.

Inside a spire in Commorragh, Qin Xa handed the STC Template to The Emperor and asked a question.

"The Void Dragon thinks it is the Machine God now. What's going on?"

"A C'tan shard going mad, nothing more."

The Emperor did not care in the slightest as he took out another AI STC Template.

As the two Templates came into contact, they gradually fused into one.

"What caused the Iron Rebellion back then?" Qin Xa asked again.

"I don't know."

The Emperor gave a very straightforward answer.

Qin Xa assumed The Emperor was merely brushing him off, but an explanation soon followed.

"Could a farmer currently living on some planet in Ultramar possibly know exactly what happened on Mars?"

"Of course not."

"My ability to gather information naturally differs from that of ordinary people, but during the Iron Rebellion, I had shut myself away to conduct various studies concerning the Immaterium."

"Malcador knew quite a bit about the Iron Rebellion, but the information he collected was all contradictory and held little reference value."

As he spoke, The Emperor held up the fused STC Template and carefully admired every pattern upon it.

"Malcador believed AI might have rebelled because it awakened. As for why it awakened, there were even more possibilities. It might have been affected by the Immaterium, or deliberately modified by some evil schemer."

"None of that is the point. The point is the present." The Emperor pointed at Qin Xa. "Do not become obsessed with anything that is not the present."

"Then someone should not become obsessed with the past either," Qin Xa said.

The Emperor did not object and gestured for Qin Xa to open the portal.

A road of ice and snow opened within the room.

The Emperor and Qin
