Inside the pyramid where the Magnuses dwelled, Qin Xa sat in a corner, reflecting on what he had experienced in his first universe.

The others gathered around the book inscribed with the paths of the Fivefold Trials, studying it.

After Qin Xa completed one step of the Ending Trial, the final item among the five trials changed.

Only Ending.

There was still no explanation, nor any story.

But what had to be done after this trial was already obvious: bring Ending, again and again, to some region of the real universe or the Immaterium.

The Magnuses began discussing the other trials.

Then the topic suddenly shifted to Qin Xa's current power.

"Just how powerful is he now? After completing one Ending Trial?"

"He destroyed that real universe with a designation made up of several threes... Though that was partly because the real universe was already riddled with damage, making psychic attacks tens of millions of times more effective... Still..."
