For now, Aragaki Yasushi only had a Stone Pickaxe. It could not mine diamond, so he needed to work his way up to an Iron Pickaxe first.
He teleported out of the underground base again and bought a batch of solid iron blocks.
Once he had the materials, Yasushi returned to the base and lightly tapped the blocks with his Stone Pickaxe.
Familiar spiderweb cracks spread across the iron, turning each block into a standard cubic form.
Yasushi immediately placed the blocks in the Crafting Table.
The neatly shaped blocks broke down in the crafting grid, producing a large batch of 100-percent-pure Iron Ingots.
With Iron Ingots in hand, the rest was straightforward. He combined them with the Sticks he had stored earlier, and an Iron Pickaxe took shape.

Everything was ready. Yasushi combined the diamonds with Sticks.
A Diamond Pickaxe appeared in the output slot.
Gripping the Diamond Pickaxe, Yasushi wasted no more time. He went to the Obsidian deep underground.
When the Diamond Pickaxe struck its hard surface, fine spiderweb cracks instantly covered the entire block.
The Obsidian broke apart with little effort, becoming a neat Black Block that dropped into his hand.
The Diamond Pickaxe worked fast. In moments, Yasushi had collected more than enough Obsidian Blocks to build a Nether Portal.
He began building on the flat stone floor, stacking Obsidian Blocks in a four-by-five frame.
Soon, the Nether Portal frame stood before him.
With the frame complete, all that remained was to light it.
Yasushi parted his lips and activated Fifth
