Petrification Poison: A poison provided by Shendu to Valmont; those poisoned will gradually turn to stone.
An essential tool for backstabbing, and quite a decent one at that.
Soul Glasses: A pair of glasses temporarily crafted by Uncle; using these glasses allows one to see souls that have left their bodies.
The bane of Dan Katō; wearing these allows one to see ninjas who have used the Spirit Transformation Technique.
However, it seems one could also detect souls by relying on chakra sensing.
Overall, this haul is much better than the ten-pull the system gifted previously.
That previous ten-pull of Aragaki Yasushi's was truly absurd.
Most of the card pool consisted of fried chicken, burgers, and Mexican chicken wraps—useless items.
By comparison, this time is a massive profit!
But then again, a man must have ambitions!
This ten-pull is merely a small skirmish.
If one could pull Talismans or Masks, that would be a true "win without effort."
Of course, This Humble One wouldn't dare covet the Oni Masks.
That stuff comes with a built-in corruption debuff.
But Talismans are different; they have no side effects and are incredibly useful.
Once some Talismans are in hand, one becomes invincible on the spot!
If one were to obtain the Dog Talisman or either of the Horse Talismans, there would be no need to fear death on the battlefield ever again.
Survival capabilities would be maxed out.
Even the seemingly most useless Tiger Talisman hides profound mysteries; it can be used on enemies to split their good and evil personalities, forcing them to fight themselves.
Furthermore, if one were to cultivate Sage Mode in the future, the balancing power of the Tiger Talisman would likely help stabilize Sage chakra, preventing one from going berserk.
However, Aragaki Yasushi wasn't in too much of a rush, as there were still a few days left before the next limited pool rotation.
Before the rotation, he could set the Jackie Chan Adventures card pool as a permanent pool.
There would be plenty of time to pull slowly in the future; he would eventually pull the Talismans.
It's just that ten-pulls in the permanent pool don't have a discount!
The cost-effectiveness is far worse than the current limited pool.
Could it be that the system is deliberately forcing him to pull from the limited pool?
However, if the limited pool were full of trash and more expensive than the permanent pool, then anyone who pulled from it would be an idiot.
Aragaki Yasushi didn't rush to take out the items he had pulled, stuffing them all into the system space instead.
After all, these are treasures pulled from the system; they are safest in the system space. Even if he pulled a Talisman, he wouldn't have to worry about it being snatched away.
There is just one small regret: items stored in the system space cannot be used directly, otherwise, the Talismans would be no different from innate skills.
But then again, Talismans are essentially Shendu's magic; if he could pull an ability to absorb energy, he could absorb the magic of the Talismans directly into his body, merging it with himself. That would be the only way to use them with true peace of mind, never fearing they would be stolen again.
Aragaki Yasushi remembered that the world of Jackie Chan Adventures seemed to have such magic potions.
Other worlds have similar abilities as well.
Even the Dark Style of the Naruto world can absorb chakra, can it not?
Perhaps that could also come in handy.
But it is too early to think about these things; one must eat one bite at a time. He hasn't even pulled a Talisman yet, so he should focus on pulling one first!
At this moment, the three of them had been traveling for over two hours, gradually moving away from the vicinity of the Iwagakure Camp.
Aragaki Yasushi stopped in his tracks and proposed, "It's getting dark. Let's camp out tonight and return to the Konoha Camp tomorrow. It's too easy for things to go wrong when traveling at night."
Yuhi Kurenai and Asuma nodded in agreement without a second thought.
Just kidding, they were currently in the Land of Grass, and it was wartime.
Kusa Ninjas and Iwa Ninjas were like weeds in the fields; they could pop out from any patch of forest.
Traveling in the pitch-black night—if they were ambushed, they would truly capsize in the gutter and die a most unjust death.
Subsequently, the three found a relatively secluded clearing in the forest to set up camp.
Aragaki Yasushi took charge and assigned the tasks: "Asuma, go hunt some game."
"Kurenai, you're responsible for the fire. Remember to keep it concealed; don't let too much smoke rise and attract enemies."
During this period, Aragaki Yasushi's strength had been skyrocketing thanks to the magic paper scraps he had pulled.
When Akimichi Doto was not around, he was the acting captain of the squad.
When Asuma and Kurenai engaged enemies on the battlefield, they were incredibly obedient, striking exactly where they were told.
Once the enemies were gone, Asuma entered his rebellious phase, always eager to snap back at him.
Aragaki Yasushi even wondered if this guy had been spoiled rotten by his status as the Hokage's son.
Sure enough, upon hearing the assignments, Asuma immediately retorted, "Then what are you going to do? Just lie down and sleep while we do all the work?"
Aragaki Yasushi rolled his eyes hard, staring at him with the look one might reserve for an idiot, his expression full of disdain.
"I'm obviously going to check the perimeter for danger and hidden enemies. Otherwise, if an enemy sneaks up on us later, you won't even know how you died."
"Enough, stop talking nonsense. Asuma, don't wander too far. If you run into Iwa Ninja or Kusa Ninja while you're out there, you won't even have time to cry before they send you to your grave."
Asuma was left speechless by the retort, muttering, "Got it, you talk too much."
With that, he dove into the woods without looking back.
Aragaki Yasushi withdrew his gaze and turned to look at Yuhi Kurenai.
Yuhi Kurenai smiled gently and said softly, "Yasushi, then I'll leave the hard work to you."
Aragaki Yasushi nodded, wasting no more words. His figure flickered and transformed into a sheet of paper, which folded over itself a few times to become a palm-sized cricket. It vanished silently into the forest to scout the surroundings.
Transformed into a paper cricket, Aragaki Yasushi hopped and skipped through the woods, acting like a street wanderer.
He hadn't been roaming for even ten minutes when he actually made a discovery.
In a clearing not far away, a squad of Kusa Ninja was hiding.
Aragaki Yasushi quickly landed on the leaf of a large tree, curling into a tiny ball to secretly observe the scene below.
He saw four Kusa Ninja busy setting up camp and cooking; there was plenty of smoke and fire, but their culinary skills looked lackluster. He figured whatever they were boiling probably tasted worse than Asuma's cooking.
Aragaki Yasushi curled his lip.
During the Third Shinobi World War, Kusagakure was a pure fence-sitter, helping Iwagakure one moment and Konoha the next, dedicated to siding with whoever was stronger, lacking even a shred of backbone.
Aragaki Yasushi could understand it, though; after all, Kusagakure was incredibly weak, and since the conflict zone was their own territory, they would have been wiped out long ago if they didn't play both sides.
To put it bluntly, they were just struggling to survive in the cracks, which was actually quite pathetic.
But pity was one thing; stance was another.
The Iwagakure army was nearly at the border of the Land of Fire, and the Battle of Kannabi Bridge from the original timeline would happen before long.
Right now, Kusagakure was standing on the side of Iwagakure.
In that case, it was time for him to start the slaughter.
There was no room for sentiment on the battlefield; if you didn't kill, others would kill you without a moment's hesitation.
This was the cruelest part of war—it allowed for no softness of heart.
Aragaki Yasushi scanned the area carefully once more to ensure there were no other hidden Kusa Ninja or ambushes, then prepared to strike.
It was the perfect opportunity to test the energy scroll he had just drawn.
Thinking of this, Aragaki Yasushi took the energy scroll from his system space and quietly activated it.
The next second, a blinding green beam of light blasted out, shooting straight toward the Kusa Ninja camp with a speed that left them no time to react.
