Background and History
Bo Saixi assigns Sea Dragon Douluo to escort Ye Qing to the mainland, protect him, and help retrieve the Heart of the Sea God. She also orders him to watch for interference from Martial Soul Hall 7. At the time, he is a level 94 Title Douluo whose strength on Sea God Island is second only to hers 7 10.
In the Star Dou Great Forest, he subdues two Light Flame Spirit Deers for Ye Qing’s first soul rings and guards him through their absorption 10. Soon afterward, Sea Dragon identifies Ah Yin as a transformed Hundred-Thousand-Year Soul Beast and tries to seize her. Tang Hao and Tang Xiao drive him back through coordinated attacks, aided by terrain that restricts his water-type power 11 12.
At Ye Qing’s urging, he sets aside his pride and seeks Martial Soul Hall’s help against the Clear Sky Sect 13. He accompanies Qian Xunji’s force to the sect, demands Ah Yin’s return and an arm from each Tang brother, and severely injures Tang Hao during the fighting 39 40 44. Tang Xiao severs an arm, but Tang Hao escapes with Ah Yin. Sea Dragon nearly attacks the battered sect in anger before Qian Xunji persuades him to withdraw 50 56.
Later, in Heaven Dou City, Sea Dragon reluctantly undertakes the covert mission to recover the Heart of the Sea God from the imperial palace 95 96 98 101. After Ye Qing remains on the mainland for six years, they return to Sea God Island. Bo Saixi holds Sea Dragon responsible for his earlier failures and sends him to Raging Tide Desolation for reflection and self-improvement 118 119 122.

Sea Dragon is devoted to the Sea God and Bo Saixi. His trust in the Sea God is strong enough that he drops his doubts about Ye Qing’s unusual use of Whale Rubber when Ye Qing attributes the method to divine guidance 7 10. He takes his duty as Ye Qing’s guardian seriously, standing watch during soul-ring absorption and anxiously checking him for injuries after his meeting with the Angel God 10 31.
He is also proud of his rank and sensitive to humiliation. He resists asking Martial Soul Hall for help and considers the palace retrieval beneath a Second Worship, though he carries out both tasks 13 95 96. His anger becomes dangerous when Tang Hao escapes with Ah Yin, while his old-fashioned view of soul beasts brings him into conflict with Ye Qing over Ah Yin’s treatment 56 100 101.
