Background / History
High Priestess and the Ocean Overlord
Bo Saixi devoted her life to guarding the Sea God’s inheritance. As High Priestess, she governed Sea God Island’s order and commanded its Sacred Pillar Guardians. Despite her exalted position, she longed to become a god herself; her assigned fate as a divine servant made that ambition her deepest frustration 191 226.
Her reputation as the Ocean Overlord arose after she single-handedly repelled an invasion of two thousand Spirit Hall soul masters, leaving only a few dozen survivors. Tang Chen and Qian Daoliu subsequently visited Sea God Island and challenged her. Drawing on the island’s geographical advantage and the ocean’s divine power, she defeated both 291.
Both men later confessed their feelings to her. Rather than choosing immediately, Bo Saixi promised to marry whichever of them first surpassed Rank 100 and became a god. Tang Chen departed to seek the Asura God’s inheritance, vowing not to return before achieving godhood 291.
Ye Xuan’s Arrival and the Sea God Trials
Bo Saixi appeared when Zhu Zhuqing received Red-level Seven Trials, then witnessed Ning Rongrong and Ye Xuan obtain Red-level Eight Trials. Hu Liena’s subsequent Sea God Nine Trials made her the island’s most honored person. Bo Saixi recognized that Ye Xuan carried a separate, exceptionally pure divine power and chose not to expose his secret 189 190 191.
She escorted the four visitors to Sea God Mountain and offered to assist their trials. During Ye Xuan’s tidal body tempering, their conversations revealed a gentler side beneath her distant public demeanor. Ye Xuan disclosed his connection to the Life God King and promised to help her reach the God Realm 191 197 198.
For Ye Xuan’s sixth trial, Bo Saixi became his opponent: he had to withstand her attacks for one incense stick’s duration. She allowed him time to recover beforehand, adapted to his teleportation tactics during the battle, and deliberately restrained attacks that could otherwise have broken his defenses. After he passed, she healed his injuries 206 207.
She also caught and returned the Sea God’s Trident after Ye Xuan accidentally dropped it and crushed part of the temple. Even with her connection to the Sea God, controlling the artifact’s 108,000-jin weight required considerable effort 208.
Release from Sea God Island
Ye Xuan’s completion of the eighth trial brought a divine decree stripping Bo Saixi of her priesthood and ocean authority. She became his exclusive protector, bound to assist him until he attained the Life God King’s position. The trial reward also granted Ye Xuan absolute control over her 210.
Bo Saixi accepted the change with relief rather than resentment. Leaving Sea God Island offered an alternative to spending the rest of her life confined to guardianship. The Goddess of Life’s power subsequently restored her youth and granted her a new authority 210 211.
On returning to the Sea God Temple, she found that Poseidon had installed an Extreme Douluo-level soul construct to replace her protection. Familiar surroundings stirred mixed memories, but she recognized that relinquishing the priesthood had steadily improved her mood 226.
Dragon Valley and Shared Cultivation
Bo Saixi accompanied Ye Xuan to Spirit Hall and then Sun Moon Continent. During the sea crossing, she killed a 180,000-year octopus and absorbed its left leg soul bone. Her life-based powers were strong, but her movement speed remained limited enough that Ye Xuan carried her during long-distance flight 227 229 230.
When Ye Xuan’s attempt to absorb the Dragon God Core nearly killed him, Bo Saixi intervened without hesitation. The core trapped her against his back and forced its destructive energy through her own meridians. Her life divine power helped neutralize that energy, creating a shared circulation that eventually allowed them to refine the core together 239.
The year-long process strengthened their bodies and deepened their bond. Bo Saixi reached peak demigod strength, integrated spatial authority, and continued nourishing Ye Xuan’s divine soul and body with life power 240 241.
The Goddess of Life’s seventh trial explicitly included Bo Saixi’s development: Ye Xuan had to complete both their soul-ring and soul-bone requirements within a year, with every required soul bone at least one hundred thousand years old. He took her to Dragon Valley to select ancient Dragon King bones, whose absorption further advanced her strength 244 245 246.
Campaign Against the Star Luo Empire
Bo Saixi led five Spirit Hall Offerings—Guang Ling, Azure Luan, Mighty Lion, Thousand Jun, and Falling Devil Douluo—against the Star Luo Empire. Her Rank 99 demigod pressure overwhelmed its border defenses, and she demanded surrender under threat of death 290.
In Star Luo Imperial City, she reunited with Tang Chen. She acknowledged their old agreement but explained that his decades-long disappearance had led her to believe he had died or abandoned his pursuit. Ye Xuan had instead given her renewed life and a credible path to godhood 291 292.
Tang Chen refused to accept her allegiance and attacked, intending to take her away by force. Bo Saixi defended herself with the Life Scepter’s phantom while the five Super Douluos supported her. His recently acquired demigod cultivation was less stable than hers 292.
Following the Spirit Hall Empire’s victory, Bo Saixi held the battlefield alongside Guang Ling Douluo, who had captured Tang Xiao. She allowed Tang Chen to retreat with Tang San and the others, but refused to release Tang Xiao. Her stated priority was the divine decree, not her century-long friendship with Tang Chen 297.
Appearance
- Eyes: Sapphire or azure, frequently described as retaining an authoritative gaze even after her rejuvenation 190 191 254.
- Hair: Silver-white during the Sea God Island trials; later depicted as blue-haired at the Ice and Fire Yin Yang Well 196 210 253 254.
- Complexion: Snow-white skin with a faint golden radiance during the Dragon God Core refinement 241.
- Clothing: Gold-blue priestess attire and white robes during the island trials; later pale-green and sea-blue gowns, including one embroidered with Sea God totems 196 210 291 297.
- Divine markings and bearing: A life god seal between her brows and an increasingly holy, majestic presence after her transformation 228 240.
- Rejuvenated appearance: Looks approximately eighteen or nineteen while retaining the authority and experience of a centuries-old guardian 211 244 254.
Personality
Bo Saixi is disciplined and commanding in public. She reprimands Sacred Pillar Guardians who abandon their posts, yet tempers punishment when Hu Liena’s Nine Trials provide cause for celebration. She is also discreet: recognizing Ye Xuan’s hidden divine inheritance does not prompt her to interrogate or expose him 191.
Her apparent coldness conceals loneliness, curiosity, and a strong desire for godhood. Familiarity with Ye Xuan brings out patience, amusement, and teasing; his tidal training makes her previously monotonous routine more engaging 191 198 207.
Her loyalty becomes both protective and uncompromising. She risks severe injury to save Ye Xuan during the Dragon God Core absorption, but shows little hesitation in confronting his enemies—even former companions. She treats divine obligations as more important than old personal ties 239 292 297.

Sea God Martial Soul and Ocean Authority
- Formerly commanded water elements and the ocean through her position as the Sea God’s representative 193 210.
- Used water-dragon attacks and concentrated Soul Power to pressure Ye Xuan’s domain during his sixth trial 206 207.
- Benefited substantially from fighting on Sea God Island and drawing upon the ocean’s divine power 291.
- Lost her formal ocean authority and Sea God Domain after becoming Ye Xuan’s protector; this crippled her original martial soul before its life-based transformation 210 229 297.
Authority of Life
- Repairs injuries and dissolves hostile energy, including ultimate ice that penetrates her defenses 211 215.
- Creates shields and rapidly growing life vines; against the Snow Empress, she reinforced her shield threefold and enclosed herself in a protective cocoon 215.
- Neutralizes the Dragon God Core’s violent energy and nourishes Ye Xuan’s divine soul and body 239 240.
- Her Life Domain provides an almost inexhaustible supply of Soul Power in prolonged combat 297.
- Initially depended heavily on the Goddess of Life’s bestowed power; without it, the loss of Sea God authority would have left her among the weakest Limit Douluos 225 229.
Spatial Authority
- Integrates a trace of the Dragon God’s authority over space into her life divine power during the core’s refinement 240.
- This fusion elevates her control over energy; no specific spatial combat technique is documented 240.
Combat and Divine Perception
- A Rank 99 assault-type battle soul master capable of overwhelming conventional defenses and commanding Super Douluo support 290.

- Adapts to evasive opponents by increasing attack density and pressure rather than relying on a single strike 206.
