Afterward, neither Sanguinius nor Angron had much reaction to Solam and Malcanthet forming a temporary alliance. Sanguinius had only been born recently and was still clueless about everything, so he did not understand what it meant. In any case, he supported whatever his old man did.
Angron, on the other hand, was simply timid. Being able to reconcile with a supreme powerhouse like Malcanthet was undoubtedly good news to him.
It had to be said that Angron was drifting further and further from his original image as a Balor. Ever since Solam awakened, this former chief steward had somehow turned into a coward who hoped to settle everything peacefully.
In short, most of Solam's subordinates had no great objections to his alliance with Malcanthet. Demons respected only the strong, after all, and forming an alliance with someone as formidable as Malcanthet was clearly not hard to accept.
The only ones who had doubts were Lanaya and her group of succubi. They were Malcanthet's die-hard opponents and could never reach any reconciliation with her. Fortunately, Solam knew how to talk his way around them.
"Is that all the brains you have? Can't you see my current situation? I was already weak to begin with, and then you went and performed that resurrection ritual on me, wiping out all the power I'd built up over thousands of years. What was I supposed to do? Go head-to-head with Malcanthet? Are you sure you don't want me dead?"
Lanaya and Shami-Amor truly did not care much whether Solam lived or died, but they could not say that out loud. They could only hold it in.
"Besides, Kostchtchie has always been watching me like a hawk. Now I can use Malcanthet's power to kill him. Isn't that a good thing?"
That made sense as well.
