The soul and body shared a very peculiar relationship. Neither could exist without the other. Without a soul, the body was bound to die; without a body, the soul could only become lost. Even demons and devils born from souls needed bodies to contain their souls.

Once the soul and body began to reject each other, the sensation was absolutely beyond what ordinary people could endure. In fact, even the strong might not be able to withstand such pain. In many mage organizations, mages liked to use this method for interrogation and torture.
