And given Violette's caster level, although Balor's spell resistance could reduce the spell's effect on itself, it could not entirely resist it. Thus, Balor's will inevitably weakened.

Solam, who was engaged in a battle of wills, immediately sensed the change in Balor. Although he did not yet know what had happened, he would never miss such a good opportunity. He immediately launched a relentless assault on Balor's will! Balor's body shuddered, its aura vanished, and it fell stiffly to the ground.

But as they ran, they realized something was wrong. Death Throes activated quickly, so why had they run for so long without hearing a single sound? Turning around, they saw that Solam had not moved at all. He hovered where he was, shaking his head repeatedly.
