Orders, Double Rewards (The Final 24 Hours of Double Rewards!!!! Please Vote, Please Recommend)

Faced with this situation, some of the younger paladins had no idea how to handle it. This evil creature was stripping armor from their fallen comrades' corpses—no matter how they looked at it, that counted as an evil act, didn't it? After all, according to Faerûnian custom, when a warrior or knight died in battle, his weapons and armor would be buried with him so that he could rest alongside them. It was a mark of respect for the brave. If someone so openly plundered a warrior's remains, paladins would generally punish them.

But if they were truly asked to fight Solam to the death over this, the paladins did not feel particularly confident. Paladins were not fools. Though they hated evil, they would never risk their lives over a minor issue. They also believed in order. If a paladin killed someone over petty theft, then they did not deserve to be called champions of justice—they would merely be a group of terrifying dictators.

The current situation was clearly like that. Solam himself had committed no crime; it was his animal companion that was plundering their comrades' belongings. Although an animal companion held a high status, it was still a beast. Trying to accuse an animal with no concept of good and evil of committing a crime would be insane! (Godzilla devouring those warriors' corpses earlier was absolutely intolerable, even if it was an animal.)

But they could not simply watch this happen and do nothing. Though the tentacles' success rate was not particularly high, some of them did succeed. Letting this continue was not a solution.

In the end, Solam himself gave the paladins a way out.

"Gather up all that armor, quickly!!!"

"Huh?" The paladins understood what he meant, but the problem was that they really could not
