Background / History

Qian Daoliu is a devout descendant of the Six-Winged Angel clan and the Grand Pontiff responsible for the Angel God's inheritance. When Lin Ye awakens the Angel Holy Sword Martial Soul—identical to the clan ancestor's divine artifact—Qian Daoliu immediately recognizes its significance and takes him as a personal disciple. 2

The Angel God's remnant subsequently selects both Lin Ye and Qian Renxue as successors. Although Qian Daoliu initially considers eliminating Lin Ye to secure the inheritance for his granddaughter, he submits to the Angel God's command that both heirs be treated equally. He houses Lin Ye in the Worship Hall, personally oversees his cultivation, and promises to obtain his soul rings. 3 4

His loyalty to Qian Renxue remains apparent throughout the Angel Nine Trials. He encourages her to use the Six-Winged Angel clan's heritage and inheritance soul bones rather than feel inferior to Lin Ye's greater natural talent. Qian Daoliu bears a lasting grudge against Bibi Dong for killing his son, Qian Xunji. He refrains from killing her because she is Qian Renxue's mother and a god successor whose divine power could create dangerous consequences for the Worship Hall. 26 93
