Background

Sasuke is the last surviving member of the Uchiha clan. Itachi Uchiha slaughtered their clan but left Sasuke alive, later claiming that he needed Sasuke's eyes. Sasuke's stated ambition is to restore the Uchiha clan and kill the man responsible. 24 69 116

The Uchiha inheritance available to him was severely diminished. Before graduation, Sasuke knew only the Great Fireball Technique despite his clan heritage. 5
