Iori helped Ritsuka’s group stop Medea and Circe’s plan, then used Heaven’s Feel to restore his body and soul. After returning to his Empire to pursue his plans, he went back to Soul Society and joined Saito’s battle against Barragan’s forces in Hueco Mundo.

• Iori killed a jade-white serpent, then joined Chaldea’s fight in Turifas and helped Ritsuka’s group battle the magical beasts.
• As the Hanging Gardens attacked Yggdmillennia, Iori joined Ritsuka’s allies in the labyrinth, where Medea and Circe transformed their workshop into Ladon.
• Iori and the others fought Ladon, and Iori used Susanoo and the Heavenly Cloud Sword to seal its starry void beyond the world.
• Ritsuka’s forces fought Iori as the Greater Holy Grail faltered, and Karna sacrificed his armor to empower the spear that defeated him.
• Ciel used the Third Magic to fulfill her wish and perform Heaven’s Feel on Iori, restoring his body and joining his flesh and soul.
• Iori took the Greater Holy Grail’s shell to the Imperial Palace, appointed Sella as his advisor, and set Mr. Fashion and Najeta to work on research and gathering information.
• Esdeath challenged Iori, later proposed becoming his queen, and attempted to assassinate him before leaving the capital on campaign.
• Iori returned to Soul Society, claimed he had mastered Bankai, and joined Saito, Yuki, and the Four Heavenly Kings when Barragan’s Hollow army attacked the expeditionary camp.

After defeating Barragan, Iori joined Kyōraku’s forces in the Quincy war and faced D, the Holy Son, on the battlefield. D revealed the truth behind his borrowed power and said Yhwach was still alive, leaving Yoruichi demanding answers.

• Yuki revealed that her Kyoka Suigetsu had hypnotized Barragan from the start, and Iori defeated him while sparing him as a research specimen.
• Saito returned to Seireitei and urged Yamamoto to take Iori as a disciple, then the Expeditionary Army was disbanded as the Quincy war worsened.
• Kyōraku assigned Iori to a special operations squad, and Iori fought Scarecrow, defeating him with his Bankai before bringing Mayuri back to camp.
• Iori trained with Yoruichi in Hakuda and Shunkō, then worked with Ciel to develop a Magic Crest that could help him control the technique.
• As the Quincy were trapped in a coastal city, Iori and Yoruichi guarded the sea and confronted Hreinn Herz, whom Iori killed before they were sent to reinforce the main battlefield.
• Iori and Yoruichi faced the Holy Son, who trapped them in Sanctuary Hymn and survived Iori’s attacks while questioning his resilience.
• Iori and Yoruichi fought D as he tried to break through the Quincy encirclement, and Iori wounded him with Shunkō and Flash Step Roar Second Stage.
• D used his Date ability against Iori and explained that the Quincy elders had made him their Holy Son, then revealed that Yhwach was still alive and that the Flame Demon should know the truth.

Iori defeated D, became Yamamoto’s disciple, and traveled between worlds while investigating the coming magical tide. He trained Kage no Minoru as Shadow and returned to Japan as spatial rifts unleashed monsters on Nishino High School.

• Iori mortally wounded D, whose final prophecy warned that Yhwach would reclaim his power and the world, and Shunsui halted the Quincy pursuit.
• Yuki admitted she had fought among the Quincy and helped create the opening for Shunsui’s attack, while secretly keeping a Fragment of the Spirit King.
• Yamamoto appointed Iori his disciple, and Iori learned that the Kurosaki family descended from the Quincy Holy Son before a Dimensional Gate opened to The Eminence in Shadow.
• Iori crossed into Earth’s world, where he met Kage no Minoru, fought a monster, rescued captive girls with Beatrix, and made peace with the Flame Dragon after defeating it.
• Iori and Ciel developed Hadō Zero, while Iori also defeated Beatrix in a sword duel and learned more about the Flame Dragon’s fear of traveling between worlds.
• Iori warned Kage no Minoru about the coming magical tide, accepted him as a disciple named Shadow, repaired his magic pathways, and left him to train.
• Ciel completed the Dimensional Square Array · Shangri-La, and Iori used it to return to the Flame Dragon as tremors began beneath the earth.
• Spatial rifts opened across Japan and monsters attacked Nishino High School, where Shadow protected the students until Iori transferred the survivors into a barrier and faced the swarm.

Iori cleared Japan’s monster hordes, trained Kage no Minoru to build Las Noches, and handled growing conflicts in Soul Society and the Empire. After strengthening his allies, he returned to Purgatory and found Beatrix protecting a child from the Diablo Cult.

• Iori fought across Japan for seven days and nights, clearing major cities and helping survivors establish more than a hundred shelters before offering Kage no Minoru power and tasking him with building Las Noches.
• Iori negotiated a secret non-aggression pact with the United States, then returned to Soul Society, where Yamamoto trained him and Shunsui assigned him to detain Kurotsuchi Mayuri.
• Iori found Mayuri’s secret laboratory, defeated him, and rescued Subject Zero, who called Iori “Daddy”, and the captains later sentenced Mayuri to indefinite imprisonment in the Maggot’s Nest.
• Iori reorganized the Third Division, then helped suppress the Sumori family after its Bakyō Blades turned users into monsters and threatened their souls.
• Iori concealed a Bakyō Blade Core, established the Empire’s first Ley Line with Ciel, and brought Esdeath back into the Empire before offering her and Akame Soul Materialization.
• Iori and Esdeath trained as Akame grew stronger, while Iori discovered that Kage no Minoru had built a thriving Las Noches and agreed to return the Flame Dragon to its home world.
• In Purgatory, Iori and the Flame Dragon rescued Beatrix and the child she protected from Diablo Cult assassins, and Iori learned that five years had passed for Beatrix while less than a year had passed for him.
