Background / History

Yiyi first appears as a girl hostile to Lu Ye's presence on Green Cloud Mountain. She is later revealed to be Amber's Accomplice Spirit, born from the White Tiger rather than an ordinary human cultivator. Her memories before becoming a Sorrowful Spirit are incomplete; Amber and Lu Ye become the only family she remembers having. 47 174 695

After Lu Ye frees her from a cultivator who had enslaved her, she becomes his regular companion. While traveling with Lu Ye and Amber, she accepts Lu Ye's surname after admitting that she cannot remember her own, proudly naming herself Lu Yiyi. 64 110

Yiyi initially hopes to become a Medical Cultivator so that she can treat Lu Ye's frequent injuries. After discovering she lacks aptitude for medicine, she studies mystic arts under the Crimson Blood Sect Master instead and displays exceptional talent as a Spell Cultivator. 217 624

Li Shang eventually identifies that Yiyi's previous cultivation path is unsuitable for a Soul Body. Determined to gain the Soul Attachment Technique and become capable of helping Lu Ye rather than burdening him, Yiyi travels toward the Soul Race Ancestral Land despite Lu Ye's fears for her safety. Her apparent childishness does not prevent her from showing courage or resolve. She insists on pursuing Soul Race cultivation because she wants to obtain techniques that will let her protect and assist Lu Ye.
