Background

Tobirama was a Senju shinobi from the Warring States period and the younger brother of Hashirama Senju. His soul fragment retains memories of researching chakra meridians, water-attribute chakra decay, and forbidden jutsu principles during that era. 12

Although initially skeptical of Hashirama's negotiations with Madara Uchiha, Tobirama researched the feasibility of their proposed peace. He later committed himself to protecting the village Hashirama envisioned, declaring that he would not retreat as Konoha's protector. 12

He was killed by Kinkaku and Ginkaku while covering a retreat. More than sixty years later, a fragmented soul of Tobirama was drawn into twelve-year-old Qingyu's body alongside Izuna Uchiha's soul fragment. 2

Within Qingyu's mind, Tobirama learns that the Senju and Uchiha ultimately founded Konoha together. He is particularly surprised that Hashirama succeeded in establishing the village. 2
