Background

Ning Rongrong is Ning Fengzhi’s daughter and the designated future Sect Master of the Seven Treasure Glazed Tile Sect. She was raised under the protection of Chen Xin and Gu Rong, whom she calls Sword Grandpa and Bone Grandpa. Before beginning her divine trials, she regarded soul-ring hunting as something naturally handled by her family’s elders and had little reason to develop combat ability herself. 33

During her second soul-ring hunt in the Star Dou Great Forest, she encountered and adopted Xiong Da, a young Dark Gold Terrorclaw Bear. Despite Chen Xin’s warning that the bear was an exceptionally dangerous soul beast, Rongrong insisted on bringing it home; its protective behavior ultimately won over Ning Fengzhi, Chen Xin, and Gu Rong. 34

Sleeping beside Xiong Da, she received the inheritance of the Battle God and began the Ninety-Nine Trials. The first test required her to run nearly sixty kilometers around the sect in a single day. Lu Xian’s taunts provoked her competitive streak, and she completed the task despite exhaustion. She then continued through increasingly punishing trials involving weighted running, breaking century-old trees barehanded, shattering Rock-Crushing Turtle shells, and defeating her own father in an assessment. 34 40

Personality

Rongrong is fiercely competitive and reacts badly to being underestimated. Doubt from Chen Xin, Gu Rong, or the Battle God repeatedly pushes her to attempt feats she initially considers impossible, from breaking trees and turtle shells to challenging opponents far above her level. 35 39 40 122

Her confidence can become reckless. She accepted Lu Xian’s favor-based challenge to destroy the Heaven Dou Imperial Palace gate, completed it with one punch, and only afterward worried about the guards and political consequences. 84 85

Despite her impulsiveness, Rongrong becomes increasingly forward-thinking. After learning Xiao Wu’s identity, she proposed nurturing Xiao Wu and Zhu Zhuqing as future protectors for the sect rather than treating them as resources.
