Background / History

Tang San covertly arranged contingencies on the Douluo Continent, including Daming and Er Ming, to monitor changes surrounding the Son of the Plane and the Auspicious Beast. When their fortunes shifted, he concluded that a flaw had emerged in his plans. 158

He attempted to accelerate Huo Yuhao's cultivation with divine power, but became alarmed when Huo Yuhao used a complete and apparently more profound version of the Mysterious Heaven Skill—an inheritance Tang San believed could no longer exist on the continent. 196

Tang San subsequently gave Huo Yuhao a God-Bestowed Soul Ring, intending to control him and investigate the god-level remnant soul within him. He also planned to use Huo Yuhao, the Auspicious Beast, and Xiao Qi/Wang Dong to advance his own arrangements. 197 198

His plans repeatedly suffered interference from an unknown deity.
