Hu Liena and her biological brother, Xie Yue, were orphans raised by Bibi Dong. Hu Liena’s exceptional talent eventually led Bibi Dong to accept her as a direct disciple. Chrysanthemum Douluo Yue Guan and Ghost Douluo Gui Mei also helped raise her, becoming grandfather-like figures in her life 42 69.

Her appointment provoked opposition from Martial Soul Hall’s elders, who argued that the Pope should select disciples only from outstanding students who had passed the Elite Class’s ultimate assessment. Bibi Dong retained Hu Liena as her disciple but had to guarantee that she would enter the Elite Class and pass that assessment.
