Background / History

Liu Bai is a transmigrator who discovered a portal in his mind at the age of six. The portal led to the Battle Through the Heavens world, where he entered through a mid-air opening above a cliff and began navigating its dangers alone. His earliest known contact in that world was with Ma Qi and a merchant caravan. 1

During his early cultivation, Ma Qi provided him with Yellow-tier intermediate techniques, including Roaming Cloud Steps. Liu Bai trained diligently and, after one year, possessed level 16 soul power and fifth-stage Dou Qi. He then traveled to Heaven Dou City and gained admission to the Heaven Dou Royal Academy despite its closed enrollment period. 8

At the academy, Liu Bai rapidly established his reputation by defeating older students with far higher soul power using self-created soul skills. His clashes with Yu Tianheng developed into a recurring rivalry marked by mutual recognition, while Dugu Yan and Ye Lingling became close companions. 11 23 24
