Black Emperor pointed at the Heavenly Venerable Primordial Chaos Lotus before them, towering as massively as the World Tree.
"But that wouldn't be the true Sword Immortal. It would be a new living being like us. That wouldn't be resurrection at all."
Black Feather shook his head as he spoke. What he wanted was the Sword Immortal's complete resurrection.
Black Emperor said, utterly speechless, "That depends on what angle you look at it from. You can regard the wisp of primordial spirit in your hand as the main body, and the original Sword Immortal as a clone. In that case, he merely lost a clone."
"But..."
"There's no but. This is the only choice right now. As for other choices, yes, they exist, but can you find a Heavenly Emperor willing to spend hundreds of thousands of years, or even a million years, refining the Dark Matter inside the Sword Immortal's body? If you can, then pretend I never said anything."
Black Emperor cut Black Feather off.
Black Feather fell silent. Find a Heavenly Emperor? A Heavenly Emperor was at least an Immortal King-level existence. Where was he supposed to find one? And even if he did, which Immortal King would be willing to spend a million years helping him?
Black Emperor continued, "This counts as the best option. You should be satisfied. After all, it's much better than your kind of rebirth through possession. He will still be the Sword Immortal, while you are only Black Feather."
His expression turned somewhat desolate as he thought of those comrades from years past. They had fallen
