Orochimaru's dark golden vertical pupils suddenly contracted, and a serpent-like hiss escaped his throat.
"Uchiha Sora... you really know everything..."
"What terrifying ocular power."
Uchiha Sora smiled faintly. "You stayed there because you wanted to take the Rinnegan, didn't you?"
"I'll help you. Once it's done, one eye each. How about it?"
Orochimaru shook his head and looked at Uchiha Sora with deep eyes. "You are indeed strong now, but you have never encountered the Leader."
"That man killed Hanzo. His strength far exceeds what ordinary ninja could imagine."
"To put it plainly, I don't think that even with you added in, we have the power to take his eyes."
Uchiha Sora nodded, acknowledging Orochimaru's judgment. "The two of us really aren't enough."
"What if we add a combatant on the level of the Nine-Tails?"
"You know what I'm capable of. If necessary, I'll summon powerful beings from another dimension."
Orochimaru frowned and pondered the feasibility of the plan.
"In that case... it can be done!"
The members of Akatsuki had little loyalty to speak of, especially Orochimaru.
He had joined Akatsuki mainly because he coveted the Leader's eyes and Konan's funding. He had barely done anything for the organization, simply freeloading the whole time.
Orochimaru was a smart man. Seeing the look in Uchiha Sora's eyes, he guessed what he wanted to say. "Then it seems my bargaining chips aren't enough now. What else do I need to do?"
"Orochimaru, aside from wanting to see what I was made of, you had another reason for showing up here, didn't you?"
Orochimaru smiled without answering. He was an old hand and would not be baited into revealing information by a single sentence. "What other reason could I have? I came here for you."
