After asking for the Spirit Transformation Technique, Ensei Uchiha asked about some Sealing Jutsu as well.

From Hiruzen Sarutobi, he finally learned the truth about the day of the Nine-Tails' Rampage. Hiruzen even recommended that he seek out Kushina Uzumaki for lessons.

If he didn't know Hiruzen's true nature, he might actually have thought he was a good Hokage.

No wonder Shisui Uchiha and Itachi Uchiha had been so easily brainwashed by him that they were even willing to betray their own clan.

Unfortunately, the path of steady, cautious progress was no longer an option. He had already set foot on this risky road.

He wondered how things would end for him. Would he die in some high-risk genetic conflict experiment, or would he finally attain the long-coveted state of the Otsutsuki Clan?

Once he learned that Kushina Uzumaki had survived, Ensei Uchiha realized he'd completely thrown the story into chaos. Everything that happened from here on was unknown.

Still, it was a good thing. Having Kushina Uzumaki around was far better than the Naruto Uzumaki of the original story, who had to survive all alone.

As for whether Naruto Uzumaki could still take the leading role...

There was a note of wistfulness in Obito Uchiha's voice.

He'd worn a mask all this time, pretending to be someone else.

Then, not long ago, someone had forcefully torn off his disguise, revealing his true face and making him realize once again how empty he felt inside.

Maybe that was when he truly began his fourteenth year of life.

"Of course. There isn't anyone in this world who truly knows everything."

"I just happen to know a little more than you do."

"Did you know? Rin Nohara, who died, never returned to the Pure Land. She's been watching everything you do."

Ensei Uchiha didn't hesitate to twist the knife. He still had a few things he wanted to ask, otherwise he would've brought out the Rin Nohara Model and given Obito a few rounds of treatment.

"Is that so? I'm grateful you told me."

Obito Uchiha's voice was calm. He seemed to have completely come to terms with it, showing no sign of being shaken.

Is this guy... planning to turn over a new leaf?

"I've been wondering what happened. Given what I know, you shouldn't be acting like this."

A hint of confusion flashed in Ensei Uchiha's eyes as he asked curiously.

"Oh, that... Before Shimura Danzō died, he used Impure World Reincarnation to bring Rin back. What happened after that? I think you can guess."

Obito Uchiha didn't bother to hide it. He also wanted to use this chance to test how much Ensei Uchiha knew about Impure World Reincarnation.

Shimura Danzō had summoned Rin Nohara. Then, when Obito Uchiha saw her, Rin's soul broke free of Impure World Reincarnation, and the two of them resolved their issues. Something like that.

"All right, you asked me to come, and here I am. I don't want to waste any more time on pointless chatter. Where's Shisui? Is he still alive?"

"I hope you haven't already taken his eyes."

Ensei Uchiha was itching to see Obito Uchiha wearing Shisui Uchiha's eyes and using Kotoamatsukami on him.

How could Ensei Uchiha not have prepared for this threat, one that could potentially change his personality?

As soon as he'd gained influence within the clan, he'd planted a safeguard in Shisui Uchiha's eyes, waiting for someone to try to take them.
