Sudden Enlightenment!
Luo Zhe and the other person took their seats one after the other.
Sitting on the cushion, Luo Zhe cautiously observed the two men before him, known as the world's number one and number two strongest. Hong's eyes were cold and indifferent, radiating an aura of resistance that kept strangers at bay; while the bald, middle-aged Thor had gentle eyes and a smiling face. Although the majesty between his brows added to his noble air, Luo Zhe inexplicably felt that Thor might be easier to get along with than Hong.
The reception room remained silent for a while before Hong finally spoke, breaking the tranquility.
"Luo Zhe."
"Yes," Luo Zhe replied reflexively. After speaking, even he was surprised at how quickly he reacted today.
"..."
Hong paused, then looked at Luo Zhe and asked, "How far have you progressed in your Nine-Fold Thunder Blade technique?"
The bald, middle-aged Thor also turned his curious gaze to Luo Zhe. His purpose in coming here was to examine this young man named Luo Zhe and see if Luo Zhe's talent in swordsmanship was as high as he had heard.
Luo Zhe was a little confused. Why go through all that trouble to call him here? Was it just to find out about his progress in cultivating the Nine-Fold Thunder Blade? Why not just make a phone call and ask? This big shot really knows how to play games.
Although he was secretly grumbling to himself, Luo Zhe obediently replied, "Reporting to the Master, I have now mastered the third level of the Nine-Fold Thunder Blade, but there are still some aspects of the Fourth Layer that I haven't fully grasped."
Inspector Wang added, "Luo Zhe only began practicing the <Nine-Fold Thunder Blade> manual in August of this year after passing the Martial Artist Combat Assessment. All told, he has only been practicing for three months to reach the third level. As the founder, the Second Speaker certainly knows best the difficulty and the hardships he has endured."
The bald, middle-aged Thor nodded, his smile widening even further. Three months to master the third level of the secret technique—this kid named Luo Zhe truly had remarkable talent in swordsmanship. Compared to him, all the so-called swordsmanship geniuses he'd encountered over the years paled in comparison. With such outstanding talent, coupled with the meticulous guidance of his excellent teacher, perhaps a powerhouse like Hong He himself would emerge in the future.
"Not bad." The man in black, Hong, nodded. Such talent in swordsmanship was indeed rare. He turned to look at the smiling, bald middle-aged man beside him, who resembled a Maitreya Buddha, and nodded to him.
The bald, middle-aged Thor understood, so he nodded, stood up from the cushion, and looked down at Luo Zhe, saying, "You said there are still some parts of the Fourth Layer that you haven't fully grasped? What are they?"
Luo Zhe looked up at the smiling Maitreya Buddha—no, Thor— before him and subconsciously replied, "Logically speaking, my body has reached the standard to unleash the Fourth Layer Fourth Layer internal force, but when I try to exert force, I always fail to successfully activate it."
"I also tried to unleash this power with the endless, flowing Blade Intent I had comprehended, but my Blade Intent is still in its initial stage and lacks something. It is still some distance from the Fourth Layer," Luo Zhe added.
"Hmm." Thor nodded after listening, and called out to Hong, "Brother Hong, can I borrow your place for a moment?"
Hong nodded, and together with Inspector Wang, they stood up and walked to a corner of the reception room, making room for the two of them.
A flash of white light appeared in Thor's hand as he produced a standard-issue War Blade from who-knows-where, startling Luo Zhe so much that he rubbed his eyes hard, trying to make sure he wasn't seeing things. Meanwhile, Hong and Inspector Wang in the corner both wore expressions of complete indifference, clearly knowing what was going on.
"Young Luo, watch carefully." Thor gripped his War Blade and smiled at Luo Zhe.
Then, Thor's smile turned serious, and his entire face became solemn. He gestured for Luo Zhe to step back a distance. A glint flashed in Thor's eyes, and he brandished his War Blade, practicing the first to third levels of the <Nine-Fold Thunder Blade> technique in the reception room. He repeated the movements over and over, his blade energy overflowing. The whistling wind blades were sharp and stung Luo Zhe's cheeks, causing him to subconsciously squint and observe carefully.
Luo Zhe watched intently as Thor unleashed each strike, carefully listening to every crisp sound emanating from within Thor's body. Although he could sense Thor each strike was exquisitely masterful, reaching the pinnacle of skill, it felt as if an invisible barrier separated him from the video of Thor practicing his swordsmanship alone in the Martial Arts Training Hall, just like when he watched the video in the media room. He couldn't quite grasp the level of mastery Thor displayed.
Luo Zhe felt anxious. His brows furrowed, his breathing became erratic, and even his nasal breathing became heavier. His blood and qi were boiling, and he seemed to be showing signs of going into qi deviation.
Thor had been wielding his sword nearby, had been watching Luo Zhe's condition closely. Suddenly, he gathered his energy in his dantian and let out a sharp "Hah!"
"Young Luo, don't be impatient, feel it carefully!" he said sternly to Luo Zhe.
Then, Thor's blade shifted, slowing the speed of War Blade slashes. With each movement, he moved with effortless grace. Moreover, as the War Blade swung, Luo Zhe could clearly sense a series of cracking sounds emanating from Thor's body. With each cracking sound, the speed of the War Blade strangely accelerated, only to be suppressed by Thor.
It's still that familiar swordsmanship!
It's still that familiar sword-swinging trajectory!
But in Thor's hands, the War Blade seemed to come alive. Each strike was seamless, switching freely between acceleration and deceleration, continuous and uninterrupted, as if every frame of a movie had been enchanted by the editor. In one frame, the playback was sped up, and in the next frame, it returned to normal.
It was as if an invisible thread, unseen by the naked eye, was constantly guiding the movement of the War Blade.
As his breathing slowed, Luo Zhe gradually became engrossed in the film!
"Hmm!?" Hong suddenly spoke up.
Inspector Wang followed Hong's gaze and saw Luo Zhe quietly watching Thor practice his swordsmanship, just as before.
Inspector Wang, filled with curiosity, asked Hong, "Master, what's wrong?" At the same time, his gaze shifted between Luo Zhe and Thor, as if trying to discern some change in their relationship.
Hong grinned, a slight upturn at the corners of his mouth, and said, "This kid named Luo Zhe! He's indeed incredibly talented, one of the most talented people I've ever met. I never expected him to be able to enter a state of enlightenment under these circumstances!"
"Is the owner of the museum smiling?"
Inspector Wang initially taken aback. He knew very well the temperament of this world's strongest man; even towards those Beyond War God, it was difficult for him to give a smile.
Then, suddenly realizing, a sudden enlightenment!?
The legendary epiphany!?
He quickly took another closer look, and "Huh?" Under Inspector Wang's careful observation, he finally noticed a slight difference between Luo Zhe and the previous one!
