Background

An Changyan is a member of the Kekumeng Race and the youngest of nine siblings in the Fengwu Family. His father, An Yanju, is an Immortal; his grandfather is King Fengwu, a King-level Immortal; and his second brother An Huanyu is also a King-level Immortal specializing in the fusion of space and time. 30 31 34

Despite his family’s influence, An Changyan is notably compassionate toward slaves and dislikes the slave trafficking prevalent in the Tianchen Empire. 31 His upbringing was relatively sheltered: during the World Lord World expedition, prolonged confinement and danger left him frightened and mentally strained. 41 42

An Changyan is attacked by four telekinetic-weapon users before Chen Beixun rescues him with the Demon Island Vine. He then hires Chen as protection, agreeing to pay more for his services. 27

He discovers a Machine Race spaceship guarded by seventeen D7-grade metal guardians. After attempting to use Chen to eliminate the guardians and later trying to avoid payment, he offers the spacecraft’s location in exchange for mercy. 30

Slanted Axe Tower and World Lord World Escape

An Changyan supports the expedition into the Slanted Axe Tower, where he suffers from the tower’s strange buzzing phenomenon and cannot fully wield the Yan God Weapon. 36 38
