"Shangguan Yue, are you all right?"

"I feel fine. I'm in great shape."

Shangguan Yue waved his fist to show that he was all right as Uzumaki Mito looked at him with concern.

He could feel the new power inside him, as if it had always been there.

"This feels like my restraints have been broken, and my bloodline has evolved, granting me a bloodline inheritance."

To test his theory, Shangguan Yue didn't linger with Uzumaki Mito. He said goodbye and left.

Tsunade followed behind Shangguan Yue, looking downcast. He could tell something was wrong.

"What's up with you? Got something on your mind? Ahem, it's not like I'm worried about you. You're just slowing me down..."

"Yue, I'm sorry. Ever since you started following me, things have never gone smoothly. Could I be bringing bad luck?

"Everyone around me keeps leaving, one by one. Granduncle, Second Granduncle, Dad, Mom, and now you..."

"Pah, pah, pah! What are you talking about? I'm alive and well. Don't worry. I know my own body, and this has nothing to do with you."

The two stopped. Tsunade looked at Shangguan Yue, who had been trying so hard to cheer her up, and couldn't help laughing.

"Yue, I understand. You don't have to comfort me anymore. Thank you."

Faced with Tsunade's tender gaze and delicate manner, Shangguan Yue scratched his head, at a loss for what to do. Still, he couldn't help being snarky.

"Good, you know you were wrong. Honestly, you're a grown woman, and you still need a little kid like me to cheer you up."

Her mood had just begun to improve. The feeling of being cared for had made her reluctant to let go, but Shangguan Yue's words immediately darkened her expression.

Her fist, as big as a sandbag, slammed into Shangguan Yue's head. He clutched it and howled.

"Ah, that hurts! Why'd you hit me on the head?"

"Hmph. That's what you get for not knowing how to talk. Come on, let's go home."

Shangguan Yue followed behind Tsunade, looking thoroughly unwilling, when Chuuni's voice suddenly appeared in his mind.

"I've successfully unlocked the Cultivation Room for you. In there, you can use all your skills however you like.

"I've also lifted your restraints, so you can learn ninjutsu in there. There are plenty of other hidden functions, too. You can explore them yourself."

Shangguan Yue was thrilled. He had been eager to test what he'd gained—the bloodline inheritance.

The training ground at Tsunade's place was spacious, sure, but there was nowhere to hide. It would be easy for others to keep an eye on him.

At first, Shangguan Yue had been eager to get home, but he gradually grew hesitant.

Now, though, he had the Cultivation Room, so none of that was a problem anymore. Shangguan Yue went home with Tsunade.

The two of them washed up separately and went to bed. Shangguan Yue ignored Tsunade's thin clothes, her fresh, just-bathed beauty, her youthful shyness, and her delicate figure.

He turned and opened a guest room, then eagerly lay down on the bed. His consciousness sank into the control room of the Balance of God. Outside, Tsunade rolled her eyes.

"Yeah, just wait. You'll regret it."

Shangguan Yue swiped across the screen. I nearly fell into that woman's trap. He selected the Cultivation Room, and his consciousness instantly entered a new world.

A vast, snow-white expanse stretched before him. A glowing panel appeared, and Shangguan Yue reached out to swipe through it.

"You can even customize the terrain? A snowy mountain? And there's lava, too? No thanks. Huh, what's this?"

Shangguan Yue selected the two empty slots above the Great Melting Furnace. They filled in automatically. The technique section showed God Slayer Art and chakra, and the energy bar was full.

He tried pressing Start. The technique flew into the furnace, which began to shudder. A countdown of half a month appeared above it, leaving Shangguan Yue stunned.

"Wait, it takes that long? ...Forget it. I'll try out the Cultivation Room first."

Shangguan Yue swiped through the options. There wasn't much else, so he chose a rocky forest as the backdrop. The snow-white world instantly transformed into a forest.

Shangguan Yue formed Hand Seals. "Water Release: Great Water Ball!"

He spat out a large water ball, which flew toward a tree. Boom! The trunk shattered. Crack! It split apart and toppled to the ground.

"Phew, not bad. It actually..."

Before he could react to what he'd just discovered, he was kicked out of the Cultivation Room.

"Huh? What happened?"

Half a month later.

Inside the Balance of God, Shangguan Yue stood in the Cultivation Room. Pebbles flew toward him. His tightly shut eyes opened, and he reached out a hand.

"A bag of rice must be carried up how many floors?

"I gave too much rice.

"I washed the rice.

"I washed so much mud off the rice.

"So many of them are black, the ones I carried.

"Every grain covered in mud.

"Who gave you a bag of rice?

"Fine, add water!" [Cursing]

As Shangguan Yue shouted, a magnetic force spread outward from his body. Every pebble that flew toward him was crushed and sent flying away.

Shangguan Yue looked at the scene before him and smiled with satisfaction.

"I didn't expect Shinra Tensei to be this useful. This really turned out great.

"It's great for area attacks. The only problem is, I can't let anyone find out about this ability. Sigh.

"I can only use it to save my life. At least the Cultivation Room lets me use skills without needing a chakra bar.

"But it takes way too many challenge attempts. One challenge attempt only lasts an hour.

"Unfortunately, later on, I can only earn more attempts by challenging opponents of the same level. Challenge attempts will be especially important later.

"I'd better hold back on ranking up as a ninja. I have to clear enough beginner dungeons before graduation, or I won't be able to advance to Chunin.

"Hey, hey, you pervert! I'm your clone. Don't touch me—especially down there!

"Water Release: Water Ball Barrage!"

The clone's Water Release drove Shangguan Yue back. He protested, "You're me, and I'm me. What's wrong with me touching myself?"

"No! Now tell me, what are you planning this time?"

"Nothing. I just wanted someone to talk to."

"Boring."

The clone tilted his head, exploded, and vanished in a cloud of smoke.

"Ah!!!"

Shangguan Yue felt a sharp pain in his head. "Damn, that's rough. Another suicide. That feels awful, but..."

Feeling his spiritual power grow, Shangguan Yue grinned. "I have to admit, this method works pretty well. It just burns through chakra."

When Shangguan Yue got ruthless, he didn't spare himself, either. When a Shadow Clone died, its memories and experience returned to the original.
