Fortunately, Shawn had obtained part of a black dragon's hoard from the Dragon's Lair on the elven planet. Building a mere seven-story Mage Tower was well within his means.
The court mages Varian Wrynn sent were all Mid-Rank Mages. After all, even Stormwind City did not have that many mages, and High-Rank Mages were rarer still. Every one of them was a prominent figure, so Varian Wrynn could hardly send them to help Shawn.

They were all the most basic iron golems and gargoyles, with a modest challenge level of 6, but they made up for it in numbers.
Over that month, Shawn obtained fifty iron golems and fifty gargoyles.
