"Indeed, he looks exactly like you, especially that unique hairstyle of his," Gine said with a smile.
"You wait here. I'm going to steal a spherical space pod and exile this child to another planet," Bardock had already made up his mind.
"Huh?" Gine was stunned. "Is this because of Frieza's conspiracy?"
"That's right," Bardock replied silently. "My uneasy premonition is growing stronger, and even Luo Tian has said as much. I fear things are even worse than we imagined."
After saying this, Bardock took advantage of the night to leave their home and secretly stole a spherical space pod from the launch base.
The couple stuffed Kakarot into the space pod and quietly made their way into a mountainous region.
"Come to think of it, you're actually worried about your own child—that really doesn't sound like a Saiyan," Gine said with a smile.
"I suppose I've been infected by your naivety," Bardock chuckled.
"Waaah, waaah, waaah..."
Inside the spherical space pod, Kakarot was crying loudly, beating his tiny fists against the hull.
It seemed that having just emerged from the nursery incubator, Kakarot was not yet accustomed to the environment inside the pod.
"Kakarot, stop fussing," Bardock said.
"Hey, Bardock, why don't we just run away together?" Gine suggested.
"It's useless. Frieza and his men have scouters; our power levels would be detected immediately. If that happens, none of us will escape," Bardock shook his head.
"So, does that mean he's only being saved because Kakarot's power level is only 2?" Gine asked.
"Whether he's truly saved remains to be seen," Bardock said in a deep voice. As he spoke, he set the space pod on the ground. "I've programmed it to head to a distant planet called Earth. Although it has plenty of food, the people and resources there have no value, making it a rather unremarkable planet."
"Kakarot, if your father is just being overly cautious, we will come to pick you up very soon," Gine leaned against the transparent hatch of the pod, speaking to Kakarot inside.
"Remember, don't stare at the full moon for too long," Bardock added as a final warning.
"I'll tell Raditz about this, too," Gine said.
"You must survive, Kakarot," Bardock waved at Kakarot inside the ship.
"Take care!" Gine held back her tears, refusing to let them fall.
Kakarot stretched out his tiny claws, looking at his parents outside the window with a confused expression.
Are Mom and Dad abandoning me?
What did I do wrong?
"Whoosh!"
A pale blue flame shot into the sky, rapidly ascending into the stars before vanishing in a blink.
The child of destiny was thus sent away to Earth.
"Hey, Kakarot, watch out for the Galactic Patrol!" Gine shouted aloud.
The vast, boundless universe.
Frieza's spaceship moved slowly through the starry expanse.
"Super Saiyan and Super Saiyan God, you say?" Frieza sat in his hoverchair, smiling quite sinisterly.
"Lord Frieza, I believe this is merely a cliché hero legend," a subordinate replied.
"I know that, of course, but I cannot tolerate even a shred of unease," Frieza smiled faintly. "Regardless, Saiyans are a race with extremely high pride; they will never truly become my loyal servants. Since that is the case, the time has come for them to perish along with their planet."
"It is a pity, though; the Saiyans are, after all, excellent combatants," the subordinate lamented.
"Tell me, how many Saiyans have returned to Planet Vegeta?" Frieza asked.
"In another month, almost all of them should be back," the subordinate replied. "Currently, only a very small number of Saiyans remain, and they will need more time to return."
"I cannot wait that long... I've set the preliminary plan for one month from now," Frieza smiled.
"Won't that arouse the suspicion of the survivors?" the subordinate asked.
"Hehehe, isn't it enough to just tell them that Planet Vegeta was struck by a giant meteor?" A smile appeared on Frieza's face.
"Eh?"
At that moment, the subordinate suddenly noticed something.
"What is it?" Frieza asked.
"It seems a spherical space pod is passing by from that distant location," the subordinate said hurriedly. "It looks like it was launched from Planet Vegeta... let me see who it is."
The subordinate immediately operated the computer to check the occupant of the ship.
"Uh, it's a Saiyan infant, with a power level of only... 2." The subordinate nearly laughed.
Frieza: "..."
"Lord Frieza, should I shoot this ship down?" the subordinate asked.
"With a power level of only 2, even if he survives, it will be difficult for him to survive in this universe," Frieza smiled faintly. "I might as well do a good deed."
Subordinate: "..."
Lord Frieza, do you possess any benevolence?
You simply disdain to strike him down.
On a distant planet.
Vegeta, Nappa, Raditz, and the other Saiyans had already wiped out the majority of the humans on this world.
Vegeta, only five years old, sat upon a rock, gnawing on a fruit that resembled an apple.
"Is it really okay not to go back? You are the prince, after all," Raditz asked.
Having experienced this battle, Raditz had sustained some minor injuries.
However, Vegeta and Nappa remained completely unscathed.
"Who cares? Let's just pretend we didn't hear it," Vegeta said indifferently.
"Fine then..." Raditz felt this was a good plan.
"Alright, there are still quite a few survivors left on this planet; we must wipe them all out, leaving not a single one behind," Vegeta said, rising to his feet and tossing the apple aside, issuing orders to his fellow Saiyan companions.
Days turned into weeks.
Three months passed in the blink of an eye.
Frieza's spaceship hovered high in the troposphere of Planet Vegeta.
"Creak..."
The hatch of Frieza's spaceship opened.
"Whoosh!"
Frieza slowly floated out of the ship in his personal hover pod.
"Ahahahahaha..."
Frieza let out a series of strange laughs, his hand condensing an incredibly powerful Planet Destroyer Bomb.
"Vanish, Planet Vegeta!" Frieza laughed maniacally, the Planet Destroyer Bomb in his hand swelling in size as it caught the wind.
"Frieza!"
Bardock's aura erupted, pushing his energy to its absolute limit as he charged toward Frieza in the sky.
Watching Bardock charge up, Frieza's face was filled with disdain.
"Ahahaha..."
Frieza let out a strange cry and flicked his hand downward, the Planet Destroyer Bomb in his palm crashing down with a roar.
The Planet Destroyer Bomb blotted out the sky, carrying with it endless pressure.
"Crackle... crackle..."
Arcs of electricity surged wildly across the surface of the Planet Destroyer Bomb, as if it intended to devour the entire world.
"Energy Wave!"
Energy surged in Bardock's hands, and a powerful energy wave slammed into the Planet Destroyer Bomb.
"Pfft..."
Bardock's energy wave was like a tiny drop of water in the ocean; the moment it made contact with the Planet Destroyer Bomb, it vanished into thin air.
Bardock's pupils constricted, and he froze in place.
Too strong!
Just as Luo Tian had said, Frieza's combat power was likely unfathomable.
I am helpless against even this Planet Destroyer Bomb he summoned so casually.
The Planet Destroyer Bomb descended toward Bardock.
Bardock felt his heart turn to ash, his face etched with despair.
"Gine, Raditz, Kakarot, farewell..." Bardock smiled helplessly.
"Whoosh!"
Just as Bardock believed he was certain to die, he suddenly noticed a figure flicker beside him, someone appearing directly in front of him.
"Luo Tian?" Bardock was stunned.
"Knowing it cannot be done, yet doing it anyway..." Luo Tian sighed.
"Snap!"
Immediately following, the staff in Luo Tian's hand suddenly manifested.
"What is this?" Bardock was dazed.
"Eh, just a tool for eating, don't mind it," Luo Tian said with a smile.
"Snap!"
Immediately following, the crystal ball atop the staff in Luo Tian's hand suddenly unleashed a brilliant beam of light.
"Crack!"
Within the void where Luo Tian and Bardock stood, a blue vortex manifested out of thin air.
"In consideration of our acquaintance, I shall take you away from here," Luo Tian said, kicking Bardock straight into the blue vortex.
Following closely, Luo Tian dove headfirst into the vortex as well.
"Snap!"
The next moment, both of them vanished without a trace.
The very instant they disappeared, the Planet Destroyer Bomb descended from the sky.
"BOOM!"
The entire Planet Vegeta was torn asunder on the spot, instantly reduced to cosmic dust.
"Ahahahaha..." Frieza let out a series of manic laughs, "The fireworks of a planet are still as beautiful and moving as ever."
It was unknown how much time had passed, but Bardock finally regained consciousness.
"You're awake?"
Bardock focused his gaze and discovered that the two individuals beside him were aliens, one tall and one short.
Both had light purple skin and bizarre appearances; they possessed large, oval-shaped purple heads with two antenna-like eyeballs protruding from the tops.
Bardock furrowed his brows, his expression turning wary.
"Haha, no need to be so guarded. I am the doctor of this village, my name is Ibana, and this is my son, Berry," the tall one said with a friendly smile, "When we found you, you were passed out in the great forest in the distance. It was Berry who brought you back... uh, this is a healing potion from Planet Plant."
As he spoke, Ibana took hold of Bardock's arm and poured the healing liquid onto his injured forearm.
Bardock was slightly stunned.
This stuff... it was very similar to the healing fluid used in medical tanks.
Just now, this guy said this place was...
Planet Plant?
Wasn't that the name of Planet Vegeta before it was renamed?
What on earth is going on?
How did I end up in this place?
