"The blanket... was on your back!" Son Goku blurted out.

King Kai froze as if he'd been struck by lightning, utterly stunned.

What in the world...

That was way too funny.

King Kai couldn't help bursting out laughing.

"You laughed! King Kai, you laughed!" Son Goku hurriedly said.

"Drat... I let out a laugh without thinking." King Kai wiped the sweat from his brow. "You're quite something, kid. Are you a professional? All right, since you've got a bit of talent, I'll teach you the most amusing way to make people laugh."

"I don't want to learn that. Teach me martial arts," Son Goku said.

"What? Martial arts? Why didn't you say so sooner?" King Kai was speechless.

I thought you'd come to learn the art of comedy.

"All right, let me test you and see how strong you are." King Kai beckoned. "Attack me with all your strength."

"Something feels strange. Why is it so hard to move here? My body feels incredibly heavy." Son Goku scratched his head and asked.

"Where are you from?" King Kai asked.

"Earth..." Son Goku replied.

"Earth?" King Kai was taken aback again.

How could someone get here from Earth?

Had the passage between the God Realm and the Human Realm opened?

King Kai looked around.

There was no sign of any passage opening.

"How did you get here?" King Kai asked curiously. "People from Earth can only come here after they die."

"Huh? After they die?" Son Goku exclaimed in surprise.

"After that, they have to cross Snake Way, which is infinitely long, before they can reach me," King Kai said.

"Snake Way? What's that?" Son Goku asked, confused.

King Kai: "..."

I feel like this kid's making fun of me.

He doesn't even know what Snake Way is.

"An infinitely long Snake Way?" Son Goku scratched his head.

"When I say infinitely long, I don't mean it's literally endless. It's just very long, and no one's measured its exact length yet..." King Kai explained briefly.

"I see..." Son Goku nodded hard, then added, "A friend of mine brought me here. I can't really go into the details."

"You and your secrets, even from a god?" King Kai chuckled. "Never mind, suit yourself. I'm not the sort of god who likes prying into other people's private affairs. Since you're from Earth, of course this planet feels heavy to you. It's not very large, but its gravity is ten times Earth's. That means you weigh ten times as much here."

Son Goku was stunned.

No wonder my body feels so heavy.

"Try jumping as high as you can," King Kai instructed.

"Yes." Son Goku nodded hard.

"Thump!"

Son Goku jumped, reaching a certain height.

Then he plummeted back down.

"I couldn't do it. I only jumped that high." Son Goku scratched his head.

"Being able to jump that high under ten times Earth's gravity is already impressive." King Kai nodded with satisfaction. "All right, since you're going to train with me, let's get started... By the way, how long do you plan to train here?"

"The evil Saiyans are coming to Earth, so I need to get stronger as quickly as I can." Son Goku clenched his fists.

"Really?" Son Goku sounded doubtful.

"Training on this planet for 158 days is like training on Earth for decades," King Kai said with a smile.

"Really?" Son Goku wasn't quite convinced.

I feel like he's exaggerating.

"Still, even if you train, you might not be able to beat those two Saiyans," King Kai said, not sounding too optimistic about Son Goku's chances. "Saiyans are incredibly powerful. Let me put it this way: they're already stronger than me."

"Let's get started." King Kai smiled and called out to the black ape.

Bubbles came over.

"First, you have to get used to the gravity here," King Kai said. "Go catch Bubbles. If you can't even do that, there's no point talking about anything else."

Son Goku nodded and went after the black ape.

After chasing him for a while, Son Goku could barely handle how heavy his body felt.

He immediately took off his Weighted Suit.

"That's much better!" Son Goku grinned, suddenly speeding up as he dashed toward Bubbles.

But just as Son Goku got close, Bubbles suddenly sped up.

"Whoosh!"

Bubbles shot away like a rocket, vanishing in an instant.

A moment later, Bubbles made a face at Son Goku from far away.

Nice try. You think you can catch me?

"He's so fast..." Son Goku was stunned. "This won't work. I can't catch him at all."

"If you can't catch him, go back," King Kai said with a smile.

"Could you give me something to eat? I didn't have a meal before I left." Son Goku scratched his head and asked.

King Kai: "..."

This kid sure made a lot of demands.

King Kai didn't object and immediately brought Son Goku some food.

Son Goku wolfed it down.

"Great, I'm finally full. But compared to Bulma's cooking, this barely has any flavor." Son Goku patted his belly.

"You called me 'Lord King Kai' when we first met, but now you're not showing me any respect at all," King Kai barked irritably.

"King Kai, don't you get lonely on such a tiny planet?" Son Goku asked casually.

"Hmph, you're still young. There are lots of interesting things to do here, like counting how many blades of grass have grown, gazing at the sky, or peeing into the distance." King Kai clasped his hands behind his back and smiled up at the sky.

Son Goku: "..."

That's fun?

"Lately, I've been most interested in taking a drive," King Kai continued. "Anyway, enough of that. Hurry up and catch Bubbles, or I won't teach you martial arts!"
