At his current level, mastering true Ultra Instinct was still a very long way off.

"Looks like I tried to rush things," Luo Tian mused. "Forget it. For the next few months, you should go train with King Kai."

"King Kai? Who's that?" Son Goku asked, startled.

"Let's go." Without another word, Luo Tian took Son Goku and shot off in a brilliant streak of light, disappearing into the void in an instant.

Before Son Goku could even react, he found himself in another world.

"Wha—what..." Son Goku was stunned.

That was way too fast!

What had just happened?

Where were they?

"This is the Underworld. Everyone comes here after they die," Luo Tian explained. "See that palace below? That's King Yemma's."

"King Yemma?" Son Goku was speechless. "Am I dead?"

"If you want to be, I can kill you right now." Luo Tian smiled and sped up.

Before long, Luo Tian had brought Son Goku to the sky above King Kai's Planet.

"W-where are we now?" Son Goku could barely keep up.

"This is King Kai's Planet." Luo Tian smiled. "Go on, train hard with him... But remember, don't neglect your Ultra Instinct training, either."

"Okay, got it." Son Goku nodded.

"Oh, and one more thing. I won't be able to step in when those two Saiyans arrive, so don't expect me to defeat them. Even though I could wipe them out with ease," Luo Tian added.

Son Goku nodded solemnly.

"Go on." As he spoke, Luo Tian kicked Son Goku into the air.

"Thud!"

Son Goku slammed into the ground on King Kai's Planet.

"Ow... Why does the ground feel so weird? My body feels so heavy!" Son Goku gritted his teeth and strained until he finally managed to stand. "That's strange. It feels like some force is holding me down."

Just then, a gorilla came walking over from the distance.

"Ah... You're King Kai?" Son Goku asked, taken aback. "You must be. Looks can be deceiving, after all."

Who would've guessed Luo Tian was so powerful?

It seemed that aside from me and Bulma, Krillin and the others didn't know yet, right?

And Master Korin is a cat, after all.

"Hello, I'm Son Goku. I've come to ask you to take me on as your student," Son Goku said, quickly bowing.

"Whoosh!"

But the gorilla raised his arms, swayed from side to side, and staggered back and forth.

"Are we starting already? Is this all King Kai has to do?" Son Goku looked confused.

All right!

This planet seems pretty strange. I'll give it a try.

Son Goku followed the gorilla, Bubbles, and began training.

Son Goku raised his hands and swayed back and forth across the planet, too.

"This move is exhausting! King Kai, what's going on with your planet? My body feels so heavy." Son Goku couldn't help asking, "Also, do you know about Ultra Instinct?"

Bubbles didn't answer. He just kept trudging along in front, huffing and puffing.

Son Goku followed behind, panting heavily.

So this is Kaioken?

I feel like I should go back to sensing the earth and nature.

This Kaioken is just ridiculous.

"Hey, what are you doing?"

Just then, Son Goku suddenly heard a voice from nearby.

He looked over and spotted a somewhat chubby man.

The man appeared to be wearing sunglasses. He had blue skin, and two antenna-like feelers growing from his head.

"Y-you are...?" Son Goku asked, stunned.

"Heh heh heh... I... am Ding Dong..." King Kai said with a laugh.

"You're Ding Dong?" Son Goku scratched his head. "Aren't you King Kai?"

King Kai: "..."

You're the Ding Dong!

This kid was so unlikeable.

"Idiot, I'm King Kai!" King Kai snapped.

"Huh? Then who's he?" Son Goku pointed at the black gorilla beside him.

"He's my pet, Bubbles," King Kai replied.

"Hahaha, I see! I knew something wasn't quite right." Son Goku laughed.

"You're the one who isn't quite right! Don't you think my joke just now was funny?" King Kai said, scowling.

"Joke? The Ding Dong one?" Son Goku asked, puzzled.

King Kai didn't feel like talking anymore.

Why did he feel like Son Goku was making fun of him?

Was this kid here to cause trouble?

Had that East Kai fellow sent him?

"I'll give you one last chance! Let me tell you another joke." King Kai scowled.

Son Goku looked utterly bewildered.

"Hey... Hey, what? Nobody's answering the phone?" King Kai muttered to himself, then doubled over laughing.

Hahaha, that was hilarious.

He'd never heard such a funny joke in his life.

"What? What are you even talking about?" Son Goku stared at King Kai like he was an idiot.

Luo Tian, come get me. I want to go back.

I don't want to train with him anymore.

King Kai: "..."

This kid had to be a goofball sent by a monkey.

"Why did you come here?" King Kai asked coldly.

There was no way to communicate with this kid.

"My friend told me about you, so I came to ask you to teach me how to train," Son Goku said.

"Go back. You didn't laugh at such a funny joke, which means you have a bad sense of humor. I don't like people like that," King Kai said irritably.

"Hahaha, that was so funny! No wonder you're King Kai. I've never heard anything so hilarious!" Son Goku reacted quickly and immediately doubled over with laughter.

"You're not only just getting it now, are you?" King Kai asked with an awkward laugh.

"Can you teach me how to train?" Son Goku asked quickly.

"Heh heh. Of course, but first you have to pass a test," King Kai said with a smile. "You have to tell a joke that makes me, the master of jokes, laugh."

"Huh?" Son Goku was speechless.

You want me to tell a joke?

That's asking way too much.

Why did training with Luo Tian suddenly seem so wonderful?

"Heh heh heh, well? Unless it's a really good joke, I won't laugh," King Kai said with a grin. "If you can't do it, hurry up and go back where you came from."
