"What wish do you want to make? Tell me. Maybe I can make it come true for you." Luo Tian asked with a smile.
"No! I don't want to tell you!" Bulma pouted and shook her head hard.
My wish is for you to fall in love with me and never leave me. Can you do that?
But Bulma kept those words to herself.
What if Luo Tian is in love with my sister?
Oh, I wonder if my sister likes him.
If she does, would it be right for me to compete with my own sister for a man?
This is so complicated!
Their search for the Dragon Balls came to an end.
A few more years passed.
A lot happened during those years, from the World Martial Arts Tournament to Little Goku's battle with the Red Ribbon Army, then King Piccolo's arrival, and finally Son Goku growing up and marrying Chi-Chi at the Martial Arts Tournament.
Almost everything happened just as it had in the Dragon Ball story Luo Tian knew.
The only difference was that Yamcha didn't live at Bulma's house, so he never spent any time with her.
The two of them were nothing more than ordinary friends.
There was one thing Luo Tian knew, though.
Yamcha had been secretly in love with Bulma all along.
But Bulma had absolutely no interest in Yamcha.
As for Mercenary Tao and King Piccolo, Luo Tian hadn't intervened in either case.
Son Goku could handle them, so there was no need for Luo Tian to step in.
Time flew by, and the years passed in a flash.
After Goku defeated the reincarnated Piccolo, he and Chi-Chi moved to Mount Paozu.
Five years went by.
During those years, Luo Tian had trained his Angel Power to the peak of the second level of its first stage.
He was only one step away from the third level.
"Luo Tian, Master Roshi called earlier. He said we should go over and visit him," Bulma said.
"Sure. It's about time we got out for a change. These past few years... I feel like my strength has been improving so slowly," Luo Tian sighed.
"You've got some nerve saying that... Son Goku's been training nonstop, while all you do is eat and drink," Bulma said, rolling her eyes. "Do you even have any strength? You've never even entered the World Martial Arts Tournament."
"I'm really strong. They're all too weak," Luo Tian said with a shake of his head. "Think of it like a video game. I'm level 100 right now. Do you know what level Son Goku is?"
"What level?" Bulma asked.
"Ten, at most," Luo Tian replied after a moment's thought.
Bulma was speechless.
"But come to think of it, my sister once told me how you easily beat those two thugs when you rescued her," Bulma said thoughtfully.
"Now you know how strong I am?" Luo Tian said with a smile.
"No! I just know you're really good at bragging," Bulma snorted. "Let's go. Goku said he's going to Master Roshi's place today, too."
"Sure, let's go." Luo Tian nodded.
"By the way, my sister's been out in space all these years and refuses to come home. I haven't seen her in ages." Bulma wasn't sure what else to say.
"She's probably gotten used to traveling around space," Luo Tian replied.
"Fine. Let her do what she wants." Bulma smiled.
"Whoosh!"
Bulma piloted the jet helicopter toward the island where Master Roshi lived.
The helicopter landed on the island.
"Long time no see!" Bulma said, opening the door.
"Ah... Miss Bulma, and Luo Tian!" Krillin greeted them at once.
"Well, well, it really has been a long time." Master Roshi nodded. "You're so heartless! I called you several times and invited you over, but neither of you ever came."
As he spoke, Master Roshi leaned close to Bulma's ear.
"So? Have you confessed your feelings to Luo Tian yet?" he asked.
Bulma rolled her eyes.
No way!
I'm waiting for Luo Tian to confess to me.
"Honestly... you're almost thirty now, aren't you?" Master Roshi sighed. "Look at Goku. He's already married."
Thump!
Bulma punched Master Roshi right in the forehead.
"Mind your own business!" Bulma snapped. "Don't talk about my age! I'll always be an eighteen-year-old girl!"
Master Roshi wiped away a bead of sweat.
"What are you two talking about?" Luo Tian asked with a smile.
"Nothing, nothing..." Master Roshi shook his head, quickly denying what he'd just said.
Luo Tian smiled but didn't press him.
He knew exactly how Bulma felt about him.
If he couldn't even tell that as an angel, then his halo was useless.
The thing was, Luo Tian still hadn't decided whether he wanted to be with Bulma.
Bulma isn't the only girl of my dreams!
"By the way, where's Launch? Why isn't she home?" Bulma asked.
"She eloped with Tien Shinhan five years ago," Krillin replied.
Bulma was speechless.
Eloped?
Launch...
She'd actually eloped with Tien Shinhan.
"Hey, hey..."
A voice came from outside.
"That's Goku's voice!" Krillin said excitedly.
"Goku's here." Bulma smiled.
Then Luo Tian and the others opened the door and went outside.
"Hey, everyone! Long time no see." Son Goku waved to them, a child in his arms.
The child had a tail.
"Goku? It really has been a long time." Bulma smiled.
Luo Tian gave Son Goku a slight nod.
"Goku! I've missed you so much! You never keep in touch with us!" Krillin said, sounding annoyed.
"Hahaha." Son Goku laughed.
"Goku, I've been meaning to ask... who's this child?" Bulma finally asked.
"Yeah, are you babysitting for someone?" Krillin asked, too.
"Oh, he's my son." Son Goku smiled.
Bulma, Krillin, and Master Roshi were stunned.
Son Goku had a son?
That was incredible!
"Why are you so surprised?" Son Goku said with a smile. "Hey, Gohan, say hello to everyone."
With that, Son Goku set Son Gohan down.
"Hello, everyone. My name is Son Gohan, and I'm four years old," Son Gohan introduced himself.
"Gohan? That's the same name as your late grandfather," Master Roshi said thoughtfully.
"Yeah." Son Goku nodded.
"You really gave me a fright. I never expected you to show up with a son," Master Roshi said in amazement. Then he leaned toward Bulma and whispered, "Bulma, shouldn't you hurry up? After all these years, Luo Tian doesn't seem to have aged at all..."
Bulma paused.
"And I don't mean to be rude, but I've noticed a few wrinkles around your eyes," Master Roshi said. "If you don't hurry, you'll end up an old hag before you know it."
Bulma glared at him.
Still, after thinking over what Master Roshi had said, she had to admit he wasn't wrong.
It's true. After all these years, Luo Tian hasn't changed at all.
I met him when I was six.
He said he was already twenty...
And now nearly twenty years have passed.
He must be forty by now, right?
How can a forty-year-old man show no sign of aging at all?
I need to hurry.
I'll confess to Luo Tian as soon as I get home today.
Even Son Goku has a son now.
Time really does cut like a knife, carving away at us year after year.
"Huh? A tail?" Bulma noticed the tail behind Son Gohan.
"Haha, yeah. Just like I had when I was little, right?" Son Goku laughed.
"Will anything unusual happen to this child?" Bulma asked anxiously.
"Has anything unusual ever happened?" Krillin asked nervously as well.
"Unusual? What do you mean?" Son Goku asked, confused.
"For example... on the night of a full moon?" Master Roshi prompted.
"The night of a full moon? Uh... we go to bed pretty early." Son Goku shook his head and asked, puzzled, "Why do you ask?"
"Nothing... Going to bed early and getting up early is a good habit. A good habit." Master Roshi laughed.
"Goku, is the kid as strong as you?" Krillin asked.
"Maybe?" Son Goku nodded. "I think he has a lot of potential. I've tried to train Gohan, but Chi-Chi gets really angry."
"Why?" Krillin asked, confused. "What a waste!"
"I think it's a waste, too. But Chi-Chi says the world is at peace, so there's no need to keep training. She says this is the age for studying," Son Goku replied.
"Hahaha, who would've thought that mischievous little girl would turn into such an education-minded mother?" Master Roshi laughed.
"Is that a Dragon Ball set into Gohan's hat?" Bulma noticed the Dragon Ball on his hat.
"Yeah, it's the Four-Star Dragon Ball. It was my grandpa's keepsake. I found it and gave it to Gohan," Son Goku said with a nod. "Later, I happened to find the Three-Star Dragon Ball and the Six-Star Dragon Ball, too. They're all at home now... Seeing these Dragon Balls reminds me of the old days."
"Luo Tian, what are you looking at?" Krillin asked when he noticed Luo Tian staring at the distant sky.
"There's someone flying over there. Oh dear, I'm afraid trouble is coming," Luo Tian said.
As soon as Luo Tian finished speaking, Son Goku sensed something, too. He quickly turned to look at the sky behind him.
"Who is it? Tien Shinhan and the others?" Bulma asked.
"I can feel an incredibly powerful energy closing in on us. What could it be?" Son Goku's expression changed, and cold sweat ran down his face.
"What?" Master Roshi froze.
"He's here!" Son Goku looked up at the sky.
Son Gohan grabbed his father's pants tightly.
Smack!
The next moment, a long-haired man dropped from the sky and landed opposite Luo Tian and the others.
He wore a strange device over one ear. A green lens extended from it, covering his eye.
Raditz swept his gaze over Luo Tian and the others.
