Soro's mouth twitched again.
What kind of bizarre thing was this?
How could such a strange skill even exist?
At this moment, the icon for the new skill, [Stare of Pregnancy], began to sway randomly, drifting back and forth across his field of vision.
Its light flickered on and off, as if it were intent on replacing [Combat Power ×500] and [Flash Technique] at any moment.
Soro stared at the icon of this new skill, falling into silence.
He crossed his arms over his chest, his fingers tapping lightly against his sleeves.
Which skill should he pluck out to replace it?
His gaze swept back and forth between [Combat Power ×500] and [Flash Technique] twice.
The problem was... what was the use of this skill?
Soro's brow furrowed even tighter.
If only there were another card slot.
Unfortunately, there were only these two slots.
Furthermore, once one of the skills was removed to make room for a new one, the old skill would vanish.
However... if another slot were to appear, the previous new skills should reappear once more.
That had been the case when he had gained additional skill slots in the past.
Soro considered it seriously for a long time, his fingers rubbing against his chin for quite a while.
A skill like [Flash Technique], for the time being... probably wouldn't be of much use on Namek.
If he were to blind Frieza until he couldn't tell north from south, that guy would definitely destroy Planet Vegeta immediately.
Soro's eyelid twitched.
His gaze landed on the [Stare of Pregnancy] icon, lingering for several seconds.
Should he try this new skill out?
Thinking of this, Soro gritted his teeth and, with tears in his heart, removed [Flash Technique] from the skill slot.
One slot was now empty.
Then, he grabbed the [Stare of Pregnancy] icon, aimed it at the slot, and pressed it in gently.
The icon embedded itself into the slot, fitting perfectly.
Instantly, the [Flash Technique] icon dissolved into specks of starlight, its radiance shattering and slowly fading away, like a gust of wind scattering a swarm of fireflies.
Soro watched those dissipating points of light, his mouth twitching.
Then, he immediately began to examine the [Stare of Pregnancy] skill in earnest.
Not bad, this new skill actually came with a description.
[Stare of Pregnancy]: Whoever you stare at becomes pregnant; staring is ineffective while the target is already pregnant (Method of staring: gaze at the target without blinking for 10 seconds).
Soro: "..."
Soro's mouth twitched violently, his entire face twisting slightly.
He remained silent for a full five seconds.
Soro thought about it seriously.
As long as he gazed at a target without blinking for 10 seconds, he could make the target pregnant.
He rubbed his chin.
I'll give it a try!
I'll start by not blinking and see if I can hold it for 10 seconds.
Soro looked around for a moment, his gaze sweeping across his surroundings.
He then stared unblinkingly at an unremarkable-looking rock on the ground.
A gray rock, the size of a fist, lying quietly on the blue lawn.
After all, there were no suitable humans nearby.
Those two lackeys of Frieza from earlier had really come at the wrong time.
If they had appeared later, they would have made such perfect lab rats.
Soro's eyes remained fixed, staring at the rock without a single blink.
Five seconds.
Eight seconds.
Ten seconds.
Ten seconds passed by very quickly.
Soro blinked his eyes, his lids fluttering twice, before he rubbed them and pressed his fingers against his eyelids.
This time, he was mainly testing whether it was difficult to go ten seconds without blinking.
Not bad, not bad at all!
Ten seconds without blinking was easy for an ordinary human.
For a Saiyan, it was hardly a difficult task either.
Usually, when taking photos, one could at least manage to keep their eyes open for ten seconds.
This skill was effortless to unleash.
The corners of Soro's mouth curled up slightly.
Next, he should find someone to test it on and see how the pregnancy worked.
His gaze began to search the surroundings, sweeping from the lawn to the trees, and from the trees to the distant hills.
Just then.
The spaceship's hatch let out a "creak."
Krillin had already stepped off the ship, carrying a large bag of trash.
His hands gripped the bulging trash bag, and his footsteps thudded as he walked down the ramp.
Soro's gaze immediately shifted, landing on Krillin, and his eyes lit up instantly.
He had finally found a suitable lab rat.
The corners of Soro's mouth slowly rose, curling into a dangerous arc.
Let's see what happens after Krillin gets pregnant.
He widened his eyes, locking his pupils onto Krillin.
Soro stared at Krillin without blinking, his gaze like two nails, pinning him firmly in place.
"Soro, I've finished cleaning the ship. You can turn it back into a capsule now." Krillin smiled slightly, looking around with the trash in hand. "Where should I throw this? It doesn't look like there are any trash cans on Namek!"
As he spoke, Krillin scanned the area again, his brows furrowing slightly.
"Bang!"
Suddenly, the rock that Soro had just been staring at bulged violently, expanding like a balloon, its surface texture cracking under the strain.
"Snap!"
The next moment, the rock split open, and an egg popped out from within.
The eggshell was milky white and smooth, shimmering with a faint luster under the sunlight.
Well, it was an egg that looked exactly like a chicken egg.
Krillin's eyes widened instantly, his pupils constricted, and his mouth fell open in shock.
The trash bag in his hand nearly dropped to the ground, and he froze in place.
The sudden noise left Soro feeling somewhat bewildered, and he immediately ceased his staring at Krillin.
His gaze shifted to the cracked rock, his brows knitting together.
What was going on?
The rock laid an egg?
Soro's mouth twitched violently, his face filled with disbelief as his eyelids jumped.
Did the rock I stared at get pregnant?
This was absurd!
"Huh?" Krillin exclaimed, his voice rising in pitch as he immediately stepped forward to pick up the egg the rock had just laid, examining it closely in his hands.
He tapped the shell lightly with his fingers, producing a crisp thudding sound, then held the egg up to the sky to inspect it against the three suns.
The shell glowed with a faint light.
Soro leaned in to take a closer look.
The egg laid by the rock felt just like a white-shelled chicken egg; it was similar in size, with an oval outline, one end slightly pointed and the other slightly rounded.
He wondered what it looked like inside.
"Hurry and check if it's edible," Soro suggested, his eyes fixed on the shell.
"Are you hungry, Soro?" Krillin was taken aback, staring blankly at Soro and blinking twice.
"Less talk." Soro reached out, his five fingers splayed.
Krillin had no choice but to hand the egg over to Soro.
A ball of flame rapidly bloomed in Soro's hand, orange-red light dancing in his palm as it enveloped the egg.
The flames licked at the shell, emitting a faint sizzling sound.
It roasted for about a minute.
"Crack..."
The eggshell suddenly split open, secreting some egg fluid from the fissure. The transparent liquid trickled down the grooves of the shell, dripping onto the lawn with a faint pattering sound.
Another minute of roasting passed.
The aroma of the egg drifted out, carrying a charred scent mixed with the distinct, savory fragrance of eggs, permeating the air.
Soro peeled away the shell, his fingers pinching the fragments to remove them piece by piece.
The egg white was fair and smooth, its surface shimmering with a faint luster as steam rose from it.
Indeed, on the surface, it didn't look much different from a normal egg.
"You eat it." Soro handed the egg to Krillin, holding it by the body and extending it toward him.
Krillin: "..."
