"There's no one over there." Soro pointed toward a corner of the cliff face, his palm gesturing in that direction. "I'll keep watch for you."

Krillin could no longer care about anything else; he clutched his round, bulging belly with both hands and rushed over, his footsteps stumbling as he nearly tripped over the grass.

He ducked behind the cliff, his figure vanishing into the shadows of the rocks.

About ten seconds passed.

"Ah—!"

Soro heard Krillin let out a heart-wrenching cry, the sound bouncing back and forth between the cliff walls, lingering for a long time.

That voice carried pain, shock, and a complex emotion that was impossible to describe.

Another dozen seconds or so went by.

Soro saw Krillin slowly crawl out from behind the cliff, on all fours like a reptile.

He was cradling an egg in his arms.

Soro fixed his gaze on it, his pupils slightly constricting.

He realized this egg was much larger than the one under the rock.

The shell was milky white, its surface smooth, with a full, rounded oval silhouette.

It felt even larger than an ostrich egg, heavy and substantial; Krillin was struggling just to hold it with both hands.

It was truly hard to imagine how a guy like Krillin had managed to lay such a massive ostrich egg.

Soro's mouth twitched, his gaze sweeping over Krillin's stomach.

Hmm, the belly had already returned to being flat.

Soro looked back at the egg in his hands.

"Krillin." Soro looked over silently, his voice calm. "Is this an egg you laid?"

Krillin: "..."

Krillin's face flushed bright red, the color spreading from his neck to his earlobes, before slowly turning a shade of iron-blue.

Turning his head to look at the egg he had laid, Krillin felt like he wanted to die; his lips trembled twice, and his eyes turned red again.

What kind of situation was this?

He had just arrived on Namek, and he was already pregnant and had laid an egg?

Krillin's mind was a blank slate, as if he had been struck by a hammer.

He sniffled, though there was nothing to sniffle, and two streams of hot tears flowed from his eyes, sliding down his cheeks and dripping onto the eggshell.

The dignified strongest man on Earth had gotten pregnant and laid an egg on Namek.

Krillin lowered his head, looking at the giant egg in his hands, his distorted face reflected on the shell.

"Krillin." Soro held back his laughter, his voice carrying a hint of suppressed amusement as he pointed behind the cliff. "You've just given birth, you need to go through postpartum recovery, right? I think this spot is quite nice; you should rest here for a while! Come out and move around once you've finished your recovery!"

Krillin: "..."

Krillin's mouth twitched again, his shoulders shaking.

"Go on, go on." Soro said, turning to walk toward the spaceship.

He bent down and reached out to press a square button on the ship.

The button was red and featured a capsule icon.

"Pop!"

The spaceship instantly transformed into a capsule, landing in Soro's palm, small and exquisite.

Soro tossed the capsule to Krillin.

Krillin released one hand from the egg to catch the capsule, clutching it in his palm.

"You stay here." Soro patted Krillin on the shoulder, his palm striking twice. "Hatch the child early; I'm going to go check on Goku and the others."

With that, Soro immediately took to the air, his feet leaving the ground as his body catapulted into the sky.

Krillin rubbed his eyes, pressing his fingers against his eyelids to wipe away the tears, then crawled back behind the cliff.

He found a flat rock to sit on, placed the egg carefully on his lap, and protected both sides of it with his hands.

Looking down at this egg, which was roughly the size of an ostrich egg, Krillin fell into a deep state of existential doubt.

His brows furrowed, his gaze lingering on the eggshell for several seconds.

Did I really get pregnant?

And did I really lay an egg?

Krillin's mind began to replay everything that had just happened.

I remember now!

His eyes suddenly brightened.

I once heard Tien Shinhan say that the guy Piccolo Daimao gave birth to children by spitting out eggs.

Krillin tapped his fingers against his chin.

So... I've arrived on Namek... laying an egg doesn't seem like a problem, right?

The corners of his mouth twitched as he looked down at the egg on his lap again.

I wonder what it will look like when it finally hatches?

Could it be my son?

An image surfaced in Krillin's mind.

A bald infant, wearing a miniature Turtle School uniform, crawling toward him.

Thinking it might be his own son, Krillin felt a glow of maternal instinct shine forth, a warm current surging through his chest.

His gaze softened, his fingers gently stroking the eggshell, the texture warm and smooth.

Should I hatch this egg?

Krillin lowered his head, pulling the egg closer into his embrace, leaning his body slightly forward to warm the shell with his own body heat.

In the distance.

Across the vast wilderness, rocks lay bare, with blue grass growing only sporadically between the crevices.

Vegeta had already stepped out of his spaceship, standing on a towering cliff with his arms crossed over his chest.

His gaze swept over the surrounding scenery, the corners of his mouth dipping slightly.

He hadn't been out for long.

"Whoosh!"

Another spherical spaceship descended from the sky, trailing a bright flame from its tail.

The ship tore through the atmosphere, emitting a sharp, piercing sound as it landed near Vegeta's craft.

The hatch opened, and white mist billowed out from the gap.

Cui leaped from the ship, his body catapulting into mid-air, hovering a few meters above the ground.

He raised his hand and immediately pressed the button on his scouter, his index finger pushing down hard.

Several sets of data jumped onto the scouter's screen.

Cui looked down at the screen and chuckled, "Vegeta, you can't run anymore. I, Cui, have come to finish you off!"

A cruel smile spread across his face as he looked toward the distance, guided by the scouter.

On the scouter's screen, a single light point was blinking.

"Found you, Vegeta!" Cui snorted, his voice filled with smugness. "Hahaha, let me carry out Lord Frieza's orders! Do you hear me? Vegeta, I am going to kill you with my own hands!"

"Don't joke around, Cui." Vegeta stood atop a cliff, arms crossed, and let out a cold laugh. His voice carried through the scouter, laced with disdain. "Do you even have the ability to kill me?"

He tilted his chin up slightly, the curve of his mouth filled with contempt.

"I'm waiting right here for you, so hurry up and get over here!"

"Hahaha!" Cui laughed maniacally, his voice echoing across the empty wilderness. "Are you blind, Vegeta? Take a good look at your scouter—my power level is far higher than yours!"

He kicked off the air, his body catapulting forward as he sped toward Vegeta, moving so fast he left a blurred trail in the air.

Vegeta's mouth curled slightly upward, deepening into a faint arc, the smile on his face growing more pronounced.

He stood in the wind, arms crossed, letting the breeze blow through his spiked hair.
