Prologue

"Shingen, I never expected you would dare to do such a thing." The old man's aged voice carried a trace of fury.

"Father, my talent is insufficient, but this child can do it." A slightly younger male voice replied, his expression agitated.

Ever since he was born, he had been looking up at his father's back, yet no matter how hard he tried, it was to no avail. The heads of the Ten Master Clans from his generation had all achieved fame and success, while he alone looked like a failure.

Mitsunobu regained his composure, took a slight step back, and gave a polite bow to the petite girl before him, his etiquette just right.

This was the reason Mitsunobu hadn't entered the school gate and had been waiting here. Given the Kudo Family's location, the high school he should have attended was the Second High School.
