After receiving Leo's nod of approval, Kudo Mitsunobu continued.
"Based on my observations, Leo, in that split second you lunged forward, you performed a full-body hardening three times in just two seconds!"
"I feel that with your physical durability at that moment, you could have likely charged through my Psion Bullet unscathed."
"Isn't that just [Sequential Expansion]!" Mitsui Honoka could no longer remain silent.
She hadn't chimed in earlier because her naturally shy personality left her unsure of what to say.
But who would have thought the conversation among this group would become so startling? They were merely Course 2 Students, yet one could use [Helmet Splitter] and another could use [Sequential Expansion]—two high-level techniques.
Such techniques were things that even A-rank magicians rarely mastered, so how could it not be shocking to see them in the hands of Course 2 Students?
"You really are amazing, Mitsunobu," Leo said, crossing his arms with a sigh.
Of course, Kudo Mitsunobu had noticed a few other things, but those involved the secrets of Leo's body, and even with the other party's consent, he couldn't just blurt everything out.
As I suspected, this person's eyes are truly something. It seems I shouldn't expose too much in front of him in the future.
Shiba Tatsuya verified his previous hypothesis and thought to himself.
"Hearing everyone talk like this, you're all really amazing. Does this mean that in our high school, ordinary people are actually quite rare?" Shibata Mizuki whispered softly.
"I personally think that anyone capable of attending a magic high school can no longer be considered an ordinary person," Kitayama Shizuku remarked with a sharp, cynical tone after taking a sip of her coffee.
"But come to think of it, your eyes are truly incredible! Even though you were so far away and there was no physical contact during the exchange, you were still able to discern so much."
Chiba Erika was clearly impressed now; previously, she had assumed Kudo Mitsunobu was just spouting nonsense to sound clever.
She had been the one to demand that Kudo Mitsunobu explain himself directly, as she detested people who were full of empty, false words.
But since he had laid out his reasoning with evidence, proving that he could indeed see those things with his own eyes, she naturally had nothing left to say.
"However, Mitsunobu, given the location of your family's estate, shouldn't you be attending Second High School?"
"What made you decide to come here specifically?"
Shiba Tatsuya wanted to fish for some information verbally.
"Specifically? Not really!"
"I just felt that since my older brothers and sisters were all at Second High School, I wanted a change of environment, so I came to First High School."
Kudo Mitsunobu naturally couldn't tell them the truth.
The truth was that he knew Japan was about to experience a series of events, and the epicenter of those events would be First High School.
How could he possibly say that out loud!
"Besides, I've lived with my family my whole life, and I was looking forward to living on my own, so I just moved out to attend First High School."
"Is that so?" Shiba Tatsuya replied calmly.
"Eh, Mitsunobu, you're living alone?" Saijo asked.
"Yeah, my family has a property nearby, so I just moved in. Everyone is welcome to come over and hang out sometime."
"I'll be sure to treat you all properly when you do."
"Don't let my appearance fool you; I'm actually quite confident in my cooking skills!"
"Are you some kind of perfect man? Good family background, decent looks, strong magical ability, and you can even cook?"
Chiba Erika had truly never met a man like this; at the very least, there were none in her social circle.
Even the second brother she admired most only had strong magical prowess and a good personality.
"Then I am truly grateful for the compliment," Kudo Mitsunobu said with a smile, accepting Chiba Erika's praise.
"Sorry, let's call it a day here; it's getting quite late," Kitayama Shizuku said, glancing at the sky outside the window, which had gradually turned gray, and stood up to suggest leaving.
Although none of those present had strict curfews at home, in this era, ordinary people generally didn't linger outside too late if they didn't have to.
"That's true. We had a great time talking today."
"Let's do this then: everyone exchange contact information so we can go out and hang out together in the future," Kudo Mitsunobu said as he stood up, and the group naturally agreed with pleasure.
The second update is here.
As always, asking for follows and votes; thank you all again for your support.
Chapter 11: Joining the Student Council
Kudo Mitsunobu carried the meal he had just picked up from the cafeteria and pushed open the door to the Student Council room, only to find that everyone was already seated around the table, seemingly waiting for him.
"Mitsunobu-kun is here! Hurry and sit down; you're the only one we're waiting for."
Saegusa Mayumi waved her hand quickly, signaling for Kudo Mitsunobu to take his seat immediately.
"Sorry, a teacher suddenly needed to see me about something, so I'm a bit late."
Kudo Mitsunobu pressed his palms together in apology.
"Has Vice President Hattori not arrived yet?" Kudo Mitsunobu scanned the area, failing to spot Hattori Hanzo, and asked with a hint of confusion.
"Hanzo-kun doesn't usually eat lunch here, so it's just us today."
The group continued to eat and chat, showing no intention of discussing serious matters during their meal.
However, since the majority of those present were girls, the meal took quite a while, and by the time everyone had finished, more than half of the lunch break had already passed.
"Now that we've finished eating, let's get down to business!"
With the meal concluded, Saegusa Mayumi set aside her previous smiling demeanor, adopting a tone that sounded like a formal negotiation.
Kudo Mitsunobu and Shiba Miyuki both nodded in response, while Shiba Tatsuya, believing the matter had nothing to do with him, remained indifferent.
"The students of this school place a greater emphasis on self-governance, which is why the Student Council wields such significant authority within the institution."
