I am truly grateful to all the big shots who have tipped me.
I am also deeply thankful to everyone who has sent me recommendation tickets and monthly tickets.
As per tradition, I am asking for votes and follows.
Chapter 26: Let Me Get a Good Look at You
Kudo Mitsunobu waved his hand, stopping the Disciplinary Committee members who were about to put handcuffs on them.
"I believe the upperclassmen won't run away. Of course, if they do, the opportunity for negotiation will be gone as well."
"We won't run."
The one who spoke was the other male student; he was likely a leader of this group, much like Mibu Sayaka.
"Then where shall we go to talk?"
Mibu Sayaka's tone was also quite aggressive, clearly very dissatisfied with Kudo Mitsunobu's forceful tone from just a moment ago.
"The two of you will come with me to the Student Council room to discuss the specifics."
"As for the rest of you, please disperse for today."
Saegusa Mayumi clapped her hands and prepared to lead Mibu Sayaka and the male student away.
Watanabe Mari was left in charge of registering the other students and taking their statements, as they would still need to be processed for disciplinary action later.
"Jumonji-kun, and Mitsunobu, you come with me as well."
Kudo Mitsunobu hung his head in resignation. He had originally intended to slip away; these kinds of drawn-out affairs were the things he hated most.
"Oh, that's right, Shiba-san."
"I think Tatsuya-san should properly explain why Mibu-senpai's contact information is in his mobile terminal."
"Indeed, Brother, could you please give me a proper explanation?"
"Wait, Miyuki, calm down, calm down."
The sound of Shiba Tatsuya's flustered explanation behind him brought a hint of relief to Kudo Mitsunobu's gloomy mood.
Mibu Sayaka, who was silently following the group, also cast a surprised glance at Kudo Mitsunobu. Back in the screening room, she had thought this Vice President was a cold and heartless person!
But the current situation seemed to suggest he had a bit of a mischievous streak.
"Surprised?"
Saegusa Mayumi was someone very adept at reading the room; or rather, the environment she grew up in had honed this ability.
It was precisely this ability that allowed her to read what was on Mibu Sayaka's mind.
"Yes!"
Mibu Sayaka clearly hadn't expected Saegusa Mayumi to strike up a conversation, which caused her to answer a bit slowly.
"He's always had this slightly mischievous personality. Don't let his attitude from earlier fool you; he's actually a very decent person."
Saegusa Mayumi looked at Mibu Sayaka with a beaming smile.
Mibu Sayaka wasn't quite used to Saegusa Mayumi's attitude. She didn't understand why the Student Council President was still being so friendly toward them after everything that had just happened.
"I understand!"
That was the only reply she could muster before falling back into silence.
"Alright, we've arrived. You two, please come in!"
Saegusa Mayumi opened the door to the Student Council room, and everyone found a seat.
"Now, regarding the issue of the treatment of Course 2 Students that you wish to negotiate, I have just received approval from the school. Therefore, I will be representing the school in full to negotiate with you from here on out."
Saegusa Mayumi had no intention of wasting time; once seated, she went straight to the point.
"So, which specific systemic issues are you looking to improve?"
Mibu Sayaka and the male student lowered their guard slightly. On their way here, they had been prepared for the Student Council to turn hostile and arrest them on the spot.
"Regarding that, we want to hold an open negotiation in the school auditorium, witnessed by the entire student body."
Having set aside their guard for the moment, the two proposed the demand they had already decided upon back in the screening room.
Before coming, they had discussed avoiding a negotiation in a small, private setting, as there was a risk the Student Council might alter the agreed-upon terms. However, if the negotiation took place in plain view of everyone, the results could not be changed.
"Hmm, a reasonable condition."
Jumonji Katsuto agreed with his eyes closed.
"Very well. Let's set the time for tomorrow afternoon. We want to resolve this matter as quickly as possible as well." Saegusa Mayumi had no objections.
"Next, let's decide on the number of representatives for both sides."
"If there are too many people, it will just drag on forever."
Kudo Mitsunobu said to Saegusa Mayumi.
"Let me think..."
Saegusa Mayumi tilted her head, striking a cute pose.
"How about Mibu-san's side sends five representatives, while for the Student Council, I alone will be enough."
"Hey! Do you think you're Zhuge Liang from ancient China, capable of debating a hall full of scholars?" Kudo Mitsunobu hurriedly tried to signal Saegusa Mayumi with his eyes.
Saegusa Mayumi simply ignored the meaning behind Kudo Mitsunobu's gaze, waiting for the reaction from Mibu's side.
Seeing that Jumonji Katsuto had no intention of stopping her either, Kudo Mitsunobu had no choice but to give up.
"Fine, let's do that."
Mibu Sayaka agreed without a moment's hesitation; there was absolutely no reason for them to refuse such a massive advantage handed to them by the enemy.
"If there's nothing else, let's call it a day for now! We still have a lot of things to prepare."
Another male student proposed as much.
