Back and forth they went, until one Moebius, supported by the others, successfully circled behind him and used its autocannon to strike the Ginn's high-density energy battery pack.

The moment the battery pack was hit, the cockpit screen flashed with warnings. Seeing the damage report, a look of deep unwillingness crossed Hawkins' face.

Driven by that frustration, he took one last look toward the ninth sector of Junius City, and in that glance, he saw his own fired bullets strike the incoming missile.

He saw the missile explode!

In that moment, he felt a sense of relief and shouted into the comms.

Before he could finish his final words, the explosion of the high-density energy battery pack shattered the cockpit, and Hawkins' entire body was swallowed by the blast.

Felix piloted the Ginn, closing in toward the tenth district of Junius City.
