"What kind of weaponry are these Coordinators using to force our reactors to shut down and jam our radar equipment to the point of total uselessness?"
The captain, seated in the command chair, muttered with a heavy expression. Having said this, he continued to direct his forces with a burdened heart.
At this moment, inside the World Tree international space station:
The commander-in-chief stationed there listened to the constant calls from the communications officer, his fist clenching tightly in frustration.
"What on earth is happening? Why is there no way to contact the fleet?"
After saying this, he looked toward the communications officer and continued to ask.
"Have you managed to establish contact with the units on the front line?"
"Commander, we are still unable to reach them."
The communications officer replied to the commander-in-chief.
Upon learning that contact remained impossible, the commander let out a heavy sigh, his expression grim.
"Dispatch Moebius units equipped with wired communication gear to reach these warships and have them report the situation."
"Yes, Commander!"
The communications officer replied, immediately relaying the commander-in-chief's orders down the line.
On the front lines:
Under the control of Felix, the White Ginn maneuvered to dodge incoming bullets from a Moebius, then raised its arm to lock on via optical targeting.
Before pulling the trigger, he calculated the trajectory.
Muzzle flashes erupted from the Heavy Assault Machine Gun as two rounds were fired.
The bullets tore through the pitch-black void of space, ultimately slamming into the Moebius.
Urgent alarms blared in the cockpit; the pilot had no time to process what was happening before the Moebius exploded.
The explosion swallowed the pilot in an instant.
After destroying it, Felix piloted the White Ginn toward other targets, opening fire on the remaining Moebius units.
In less than a minute, dozens of rounds were fired from the muzzle, leaving nearly twenty Moebius units wrecked by the barrage.
Turning around, the White Ginn opened fire with its Heavy Assault Machine Gun.
The bullets pierced through a passing Moebius.
Having finished it off, the White Ginn pushed forward.
Its target was a Drake-class warship ahead.
Because its radar was disabled, the Drake-class warship could not detect the enemy's approach from a distance.
By the time the optical sensors could relay a clear image, Felix had already piloted the White Ginn to a very close range.
"Captain, an MS is charging toward us rapidly!"
"Open fire! Evasive maneuvers!"
Upon learning the situation, the captain issued orders rapidly.
Following the command, the tactical officer reported.
"Captain, our radar is completely dead. Missiles are unusable, and neither the beam cannons nor the electromagnetic railguns can be aimed properly."
"Switch the electromagnetic railguns and beam cannons to manual targeting and fire!"
The captain commanded.
Receiving the order, the tactical officer quickly adjusted tactics, and the beam cannons and electromagnetic railguns opened fire under manual control.
Beams and electromagnetic shells streaked toward the White Ginn.
Watching these attacks, Felix maneuvered the White Ginn through space, dodging the incoming fire.
The beam cannons and electromagnetic railguns tracked the Ginn's movements under manual control.
However, due to the White Ginn's rapid maneuvering, these attacks were all rendered ineffective.
Not only did they fail to hinder the enemy, but they also drained the warship's energy reserves significantly.
The White Ginn broke through rapidly, reaching point-blank range of the warship; the ship's point-defense guns, rendered blind by the radar failure, lost all defensive capability.
The turrets rotated and fired, but they could not accurately strike the White Ginn.
"Lambs to the slaughter!"
Seeing the state of the warship, Felix let out a cold snort.
He then charged toward the bridge of the Drake-class warship and opened fire, aiming his muzzle directly at the bridge.
The bullets instantly pierced the bridge, completely destroying the warship's command system. Having shattered the command center, Felix pushed on toward the other enemies.
While advancing, he opened fire, aiming at two Moebius units.
Bullets tore through both Moebius units.
After blowing them to pieces, he dashed toward the next Drake-class battleship.
Dodging its ineffective defensive fire, he surged toward the bridge and unleashed his Heavy Assault Machine Gun directly at it.
"Aaaah!"
The personnel inside the bridge let out a terrified scream.
Immediately after, everyone perished in the vacuum of space amidst the explosion.
Having destroyed the command system of the battleship, Felix piloted his White Ginn and continued his assault in another direction.
Inside the World Tree international space station:
"Commander-in-Chief, these ZAFT forces are using a brand-new type of equipment. This gear has rendered all of our nuclear missiles useless and has even affected the nuclear fission reactors of our warships, preventing them from operating.
Furthermore, the radar and communications of all units within the combat zone have essentially been disabled."
The commander in charge of the World Tree defense reported the current situation to the Commander-in-Chief.
At the Earth Alliance Forces headquarters:
Upon hearing this report, the Commander-in-Chief's expression turned grave as he asked in a deep voice.
"Have you figured out what kind of new equipment these ZAFT forces are using?"
"No. These ZAFT forces came prepared; we have no way of knowing what kind of new equipment they are utilizing."
He shook his head, his voice revealing a sense of helplessness.
After listening, the Commander-in-Chief pondered for a moment before asking.
"What is your proposal?"
"My proposal is to withdraw from the vicinity of the World Tree and cease engagement with the ZAFT forces."
"Are you suggesting we hand over the World Tree? Have you considered that if we surrender the World Tree, our route to the moon will be severely compromised?"
The Commander-in-Chief's face darkened, his voice carrying a tone of interrogation. Upon hearing this, the battle commander replied over the comms.
"Naturally, we cannot simply hand over the World Tree. Since we cannot hold the World Tree, we must not allow these Coordinators to obtain it.
My plan is to fight while retreating and, if necessary, destroy the World Tree directly.
We must prevent these Coordinators from obtaining the World Tree!"
"Handle the specifics yourself. I have only one requirement: you must not let PLANT obtain the World Tree. Even a damaged World Tree must not fall into the hands of these people.
Do you understand?"
After hearing his proposal, the Commander-in-Chief asked no further questions, instead stating with absolute firmness what must be done.
"Commander-in-Chief, rest assured, I guarantee the mission will be completed!"
Sitting at attention, the commander of this battle gave his assurance to the Commander-in-Chief in a booming voice.
Hearing this, the Commander-in-Chief nodded and ended the communication.
