Watching the two Combat Missile flying toward him at high speed, Felix pulled the trigger. The muzzle of his Heavy Assault Machine Gun flared with light as bullets streaked out from the chamber at high velocity.
Two balls of fire erupted as the Combat Missile were successfully shot down.
With the crisis averted, Felix looked at the MA that had just launched such a formidable offensive, realizing that the MA in reality were vastly different from the NPC-like units seen in anime.
Reality really is different from anime.
Felix muttered to himself.
On the screen, Felix watched the coordinated attack executed by two veterans. He realized that although the academy had taught him many things and he had achieved excellent grades, there were some things that a school simply could not teach.
It seems some things require the tempering of the battlefield before they can be fully integrated and mastered.
Eyes fixed on the screen, Felix felt a sense of realization as he murmured to himself.
Just then, the MA that had launched the effective attack on Felix came charging over at high speed while firing.
The MA's dash speed was incredibly fast.
Felix maneuvered his Ginn to dodge the incoming bullets while adjusting the attitude control thrusters to reposition his machine.
As the MS and the MA brushed past each other, the Ginn drew the Heavy Slash Blade from its waist, the long blade hacking into the rear of the MA.
In an instant, the MA's propulsion system was destroyed.
Billowing smoke poured out from the rear of the MA.
As it turned to aim and fire at the Ginn, Felix controlled his Ginn to deliver a finishing blow to the MA.
The blade landed on the center of the MA; with a clean, swift stroke, he sliced the MA in two.
The MA exploded in space, turning into a ball of fire.
Before he could catch his breath after dealing with that MA, the radar showed two more MA maneuvering rapidly toward him.
The screen projected the images of these two MA.
Watching the projection, Felix controlled his Ginn to maneuver and dodge through space.
Based on the movements of these two MA, he searched for a way to break the current deadlock.
Time ticked away, second by second.
Two or three minutes later, an opportunity appeared before Alex.
He raised the large-caliber Heavy Assault Machine Gun in his hands, aimed the muzzle forward, and pulled the trigger.
A three-round burst!
The bullets streaked through space, heading straight for one of the MA.
The MA pilot watched the feedback from his radar.
He gripped the control stick tightly, maneuvering his MA through space.
Just as he dodged the three-bullet attack, the system began to blare alarms, the screen flashing red incessantly.
"What's going on?"
He asked himself, completely bewildered.
The screen zoomed in, revealing the image of the Ginn raising its Heavy Assault Machine Gun.
"This guy predicted my maneuver!"
At that moment, he understood what was happening, and he gritted his teeth.
Immediately, the screen showed the Ginn charging toward him, the distance between them closing rapidly.
"Cover me!"
Unable to care about anything else, the MA pilot called out to his comrade for support.
The other MA pilot, who was attacking Felix alongside him, heard his comrade's cry and did not hesitate or pause, maneuvering his own MA to interfere with the Ginn's movements.
The propulsion system erupted with even greater thrust.
The MA sped through space, its mounted autocannons firing rapidly at the Ginn.
A dense barrage of fire poured out toward the Ginn piloted by Felix.
As the scene of the incoming fire appeared on the screen, Felix did not hesitate for a second. His hands moved continuously, forming a string of action commands integrated by the computer, which were then executed.
Under the control of these commands, the Ginn maneuvered to dodge the dense barrage, seizing the perfect moment to open fire with its Heavy Assault Machine Gun.
Precise fire struck toward the MA.
"Bastard!"
He cursed under his breath.
The MA pilot covering his comrade hurriedly maneuvered his MA in an emergency dodge through space.
He barely managed to evade the bullet attack.
Before he could even recover his state, he saw the Ginn charging toward his comrade once again.
His comrades didn't even last two seconds before being finished off by the Ginn using the Heavy Assault Machine Gun in its hands.
"Bastard!"
Watching his comrades sacrifice themselves right before his eyes, his eyes turned bloodshot as he let out a low, angry roar.
After that curse, he piloted the MA to launch an attack on the Ginn, his finger pulling the trigger as the autocannon fired continuously.
A barrage of extremely dense firepower poured toward the Ginn.
Watching this guy unleash such dense firepower, Felix maneuvered the Ginn to dodge the attacks in space while steadily advancing toward the MA.
The distance between the two in space grew shorter and shorter.
The MA pilot maneuvered his craft, and Felix followed suit, maneuvering the Ginn in kind.
As both sides maneuvered in this manner, the Ginn drew the Heavy Slash Blade from its hand, and Felix, seizing the moment, controlled the Ginn to bring the Heavy Slash Blade down in a strike.
With a single blow, the cockpit section of the MA was shattered.
The pilot sitting inside died on the spot.
Shortly after the pilot's death, the MA exploded, turning into a ball of fire that illuminated a patch of space.
Having dealt with this guy, Felix kept the Ginn standing in place, his eyes fixed tightly on the large screen.
Beep, beep, beep!!!
Urgent alarm sounds rang out continuously inside the cockpit.
Listening to these urgent sounds and looking at the information fed back on the radar and the large screen, he manipulated the Ginn to take action.
The Ginn raised the Heavy Assault Machine Gun in its hand and fired at the incoming missiles.
After blowing up those few missiles, Felix piloted the Ginn to maneuver and dodge.
He dodged the incoming bullets.
He turned around, raised his gun, and fired at the front.
The bullets he sent over forced the incoming MAs to change their attack formation.
Although their formation changed, they continued to charge toward the Ginn without slowing down.
Several MAs fired at the Ginn from different angles.
Looking at the information fed back on the screen, Felix's brain raced, pondering a way to break the situation.
A plan was formulated by Felix in an instant.
He acted according to the thoughts in his mind, and the Ginn followed the movement commands Felix input.
He dodged all the attacks while maneuvering.
Immediately turning around, he fired rapidly.
The speed of this shot was faster than any previous fire, so fast that the pilot of the MA in the bullet's path could not react in time.
By the time he reacted to maneuver, the MA had already been hit.
Although it did not explode directly, the MA's propulsion system was exposed to the bullet's trajectory while dodging, and the propulsion system was struck by the round.
The destructive power of the large-caliber bullet caused this MA to completely lose its mobility.
Just as Felix prepared to deliver the finishing blow, the remaining MAs blocked the Ginn's movements. Under the suppression of their firepower, Felix had no choice but to give up.
The Ginn dodged the attacks, one hand gripping the Heavy Slash Blade and the other gripping the Heavy Assault Machine Gun, constantly searching for an opportunity to attack while evading.
As these MAs carried out long-range attacks, they constantly adjusted their positions through maneuvering; Felix watched these movements, and through this observation, he began to predict the maneuvers of one of the MAs.
